Dimps have finally hit the nail on the head and surpassed previous games like Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Raging Blast 2, creating what is easily the best Dragon Ball game to date.
Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2024 runs in Los Angeles from January 27-28 and features manga, anime, movies, games, toys, and much more.
The continued efforts to generate revenue through Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 hold the series back from realizing its full potential.
I've been saying this for years. The newcontent is drip fed over years whenever a new movie is out since the Super Anime is over.
I honestly think it's time to collectively as a society move on from Dragon Ball completely. Don't get me wrong, it will always be my childhood favourite, but like it's been some overdone lately. All recent DB games have been thinned out overmilked content and just... we don't need more DB anymore, it's enough, let the whole series retire.
Today Bandai Namco shared an interesting tease that has fans of the Dragon Ball Xenoverse franchise and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 wondering about what may be coming.
Gotta pick this up. Used to love the Budokai games!
Interesting read! Might be worth a go.
Thank Christ. I've been looking to scratch my DBZ itch for a while, and it's about time someone stepped up and made a worthy successor to Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Will be looking to pick this up in the near future, great article :)
That statement I dont quite agree with. It really does depend on what you look for in your Dragonball games, but Xenoverse games are much more focused on multiplayer brawls and quests/RPG elements. Not exactly what I appreciate the most in my DB games. Im still leaning towards Tenkaichi games because of their high mobility and speed which even the Raging Blast games ditched, but even if Tenkaichi games were brought back, they would need some shaping up since the Tenkaichi formula really isnt perfect.
Its cool that finaly Bamco/devs are actually giving a sht about Dragonball, though. Some of the previous games were pretty garbage. Even if Xenoverse games arent my cup of tea, they are entertaining and offer a solid foundation for most fans.
Like for example, I do enjoy the fact that they have developed their own story instead of retelling the original DBZ story 30th time, and offer alot of singleplayer content.
hmm personally i like the budokai series the most with it's fast paced combat and it feels more like a fighting game than a beat em up but i also enjoyd tenkaichi 1-3 for what they were (opinion me)
