I wasn't aware that they still did discs on PC

I know, me neither, I thought a game would require like 3 dual-layer DVD's minimum or a blu-ray drive.

If you buy a PC game you can get it via media which is usually DVD or sometimes just a download activation code. Many PC games are usually digital download, however, there is competition from different download sites which keeps the price of games reasonable.

Just having one site for digital download would result in a monopoly that would keep the price of games from dropping for quite some time since all that is taken up by a digital download game plus patches is space on a hard disk.

I am not aware of any PC game that comes on a BluRay disk.

I'll wait for it to drop 60% or more.

Battlefront on Origin alone has been as low as $28.99. And thats only been out for about 7 months. I can wait. Or probably won't get it at all.

I loved the Battlefield games, but 4 was a god aweful mess, and Hardline, well Hardline was Hardline.

I dont even have my blu ray drive plugged in to my motherboard anymore, Im sure im not the only one.

If you are into digital downloads and have no real interest in BluRay movies then I don't blame you. On my PC I don't have any CD/DVD/BD drives although I do have plenty of USB (2.0 and 3.0) slots.

My laptop which I bought over five years ago had a BluRay read only drive which I never used although I did use the BluRay drive on my PS3 and my PS4 but that was mainly for games and the odd movie.

The last time I bought video game discs for PC was in 2009...

I bought Sniper Ghost Warrior in 2011 and even then discs seemed ancient. Jeez, that was five years ago.
