Justin Celani writes: The Walking dead franchise and series really needs no introduction at this point, especially with its rabid and huge fan base. While the Telltale series took videogame players by storm with its heavy hitting exposition and split second decisions, this has seemingly paved the way for more and more of these types of games to be released. They have taken lots of inspiration from the comic series and created their own stories to tell within that universe, but now we get a miniseries staring one of the most popular characters in the actual franchise: Michonne, a machete wielding badass, who definitely takes no shit from anyone.

Michonne is one of the more interesting characters to grace The Walking Dead and no, not just because she’s the chick with the sword. Her back story is one of personal tragedy and the first episode of Telltale’s latest miniseries shows us this in much more detail. As with the first two game seasons, The Walking Dead: Michonne takes place within the confines of the graphic novel’s universe rather than that of the TV show. Specifically taking place between issues 126 and 139 during which our titular character leaves Rick Grimes and his group.
Sirus Gaming: Ultimately, the first two episodes of the series was a really great ride for me. Only one more episode to go, and that’s another great game on my “things to recommend to other people to play because it’s gold and is just simply great”.
