Has The Division’s Open Beta Sold You The Game?

PixelGate writes:

''The Division Open Beta has generated a lot of discussion. Dissecting each element of the Beta, picking at the best and worst. At this point, everyone knows exactly what The Division is and what it has to offer. Are people now more likely to buy into Ubisoft’s next big release?''

To some, definitely yes. But to others, they will wait and see how the final game will fare before buying it.

If we dont see Ubisoft Repetitive Formula Syndrome in the final version of The Division then this game will be a masterpiece. But, its Ubisoft so i wont get my hopes up.

I'm partly sold on £20 store credit and the Dark Zone being all kinds of chaotic fun

The open beta did not sale me. However, this recent 12 minutes of footage of late game content did. The open beta was just not enough of what the game really has to offer. It's a slice sure, but I needed more and got that more in the 12 minutes of footage they showed off.

I'm sold on the game. I was really pessimistic up until the closed alpha. Closed and open beta changed my mind and now I'm fully on board.

Sonital3001d ago

Exactly this. I was put off until I played Alpha's/beta's but i'm waiting to see how repetitive it is.

Gotta know the endgame. We haven't been told anything.

Ive not long finished playing destiny and im currently enjoying more story driven games now. The beta was great fun and i enjoyed the dark zone but i wont be getting it, im all burnt out on that type of game for now. Good luck to them though and i hope you all have some great times.

Brohan3001d ago

I'm sold on it and sense I haven't played the rest of it yet I feel I'm gonna be putting a lot of my gaming time into this. I just wonder how this will effect Ubisoft about them possibly losing there business

dreadz743001d ago

Yup pre ordered and in withdrawal after Beta :(

PixelGateUk3001d ago

I genuinely miss the chaos of the Dark Zone

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

shinoff2183402d ago

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno402d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Flawlessmic402d ago

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

Hofstaderman402d ago

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

Dagexon401d ago

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
