When Jonathan Blow announced the $40 price tag for The Witness, consumers seemed shocked – why do we subconsciously undervalue indie development as amateur?
Mark Rubin, XDefiant’s executive producer, responded to an X/Twitter post that fixes to hit reg “are something [they] are working on.” Unfortunately, it’s unclear when it will arrive, as neither Rubin nor the development team have yet to provide an actual time frame.
Ha man what is this the 8th time they are working on this issue?
SO the game is using division one maps/assets with some divison 2 thrown in with that we can say they never really made the maps so what have they been doing for there 6 to perhaps 8 years of dev time? must be alot of hookers/blow/parties.

40 hours of gameplay in a beautifully crafted world.
Seems like its worth 40$ to me.
This game puts many AAA titles to shame.
Maybe they mistakenly thought it wouldn't last many hours because it's indie. Price seems reasonable.
We should really be basing price off of content, not who made it.
Considering that the game allegedly lasts around 40 hours to complete and 70 hours to do everything, the price tag for The Witness seems fair.
What matters most is how much value you're getting for the price. Not "indie" or "AAA" status.
