Watch a graphics comparison between the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of The Witcher 3.
This game looks incredible on all 3 platforms, cannot wait for my download to finish
Nah. PC>>>PS4>XBO. The differences between PC and the consoles is easy to see. Not so much with PS4 vs XBO.
Nahh my 2013 pc >>> your 2015 pc >> ps4 > bone http://a.disquscdn.com/uplo... What say u now? 2015 peasant! /s Cyberpunk 2077 downgrade incoming. And all the console gamers in 2018 will say "great job optimizing cdpr!! It looks the same as on a r9 790x with hbm & ddr4 ram in crossfire with dx12! Amazing! Ps4 is a beast. Pc master race? Xbox lol"
@walker ok? lol
the ps4/xbone look nearly identical. the ps4 is barely a tad sharper. certainly not enough to claim some exaggerated distance between the two. Christopher hit the nail on the head. the pc version is loads better than both of them. reflections, aliasing, texturing, atmospherics... even the color looks more real on pc.
Yeah developer definitively went for parity on this game, they all look almost identical.
no. Look at performance https://www.youtube.com/wat... xbox goes up to 40 fps with average 35. Lowest registered was 25. PS4 goes down to 20 and never above 30 , average 25. That on top of texture problems (look at house at 1:52 in ps4 version) How is that better? Where did the clouds go in ps4 version for most of the video? This time, a rare ocasion, we see a multiplat game perform better on xbox one than ps4. You can't deny it.
The ps4 version is brilliant looking and runs brilliantly. Can't stop playing it.
Im honestly surprised how well the Xbox One version holds it own. They did an awesome job. A few scenes, specifically things at a distance sometimes appeared sharper on it than the PS4 version to me (I have always thought that jaggies can make certain things look sharper though). PS4 does seem to have the advantage in textures up close - nothing you would really ever notice outside of these comparisons. Waiting for my damn PS4 copy in the mail right now - just want to play it/tired at looking at videos
Same here :D waiting for my physical copy. Seriously though, considering tht difference of cores is 50% I expected atleast 40% difference in both versions. As for those saying resolution difference is 44% and thus power difference is 44% too,it doesn't work tht way:) . Coz there are a pot of processes tht gpu must carry out(also called effects) which consume same amount of resources regardless of resolution. Also all processes have fixed running costs which means those costs(in terms of power) have to be incurred regardless of resolution too. Think of it as production in factory, there are fixed costs of rent etc and the cost of production does not increase in a linear manner
Who cares what the game looks like really...the game is not broken and it takes 100 plus hrs to beat
While they all look great sure. That pc version is definitely not maxed, not even close.
Looks the same **shrug**
Your words and your pic dont match :D
Love the game so far great for ps4 xbox one and pc fans truly a great game. On a side note when's the free dlc drop on ps4?
There are currently 2 sets of free dlc on the UK PSN store
For consoles, ps4 is much sharper and defined. Look at the river in the distance, bottom left on balcony. Its blurry and barely noticeable on xbox, on ps4 its clear and vibrant. You can see the waves etc. On xbox Its just murky. The mountains are also not as sharp as ps4. Still a nice port considering the x is less powerful.
Yeah, I also saw 1 more cloud, and an extra line or two of detail on one of the mountains. It's sooooo much better. S/ Funny thing is, I'm playing it Ultra on PC, and while sprinting, jumping, fighting, talking, or actually playing the game, there is no difference between the platforms except maybe frame rate. so nice stealth trolling. Oh man, I shouldn't have replied, don't feed the trolls!
Gotta love how everyone jumps on the Xbox One, not just this thread, but most witcher threads. I'm playing it on PS4 & it's not without issues on that version. There's plenty of frame rate & skipping issues with that version too. It's still a fine game, but it's definitely not as smooth as it could be.
barely any difference and if there is it doesnt matter you will be playing the game more then staring at the grass and stuff
I love grass
How about fanboys stop masturbating over which version has best graphics and just play the game. Unless you are using a severly underpowered PC you will get a good experience on all formats.
How about you stay out of such articles if it's not your thing, and let the people who wanna debate the differences do so without your immaturity making things worse?
Its you fanboys who are immature. All this my consoles better than yours crap you see is pathetic.
And referring to it as "masturbation" is somehow mature? The strange thing is that such behavior is perfectly fine in, say, sports. It has to get violent before anybody tells sports fans to chill out. But gaming fans have to quit in the trash talking phase. Seriously, go away if it bugs you. You're not being forced to comment, read articles, or anything.
Cant notice any difference between PS4 and XB1 however PC I can pick, the Water and Wind effects are worlds apart on PC. Either way, what ever platform you own, it is well worth it. Best game so far in 2015 in my opinion.
Ps4 version looks better than Xbox. It is noticeable. The bigger screen and quality TV its on the more noticeable. So just take that into thought as well. Those minor things make a difference to me.
