PS Plus: Free Games for April 2015

Posted by Ryan Clements on Mar 31, 2015 // Social Media Specialist:
Brace yourselves, people! We have another great lineup of games coming to PlayStation Plus this month. With shooters, puzzle games, platformers, and more, we have a little something for everyone this April.

To start things off, allow us to present Tower of Guns on PS4 and PS3. It’s about a tower filled with guns. And so much more! Shooter fans, prepare for an adrenaline-pounding challenge through a randomized tower with enemies, bosses, power-ups, and little robots that just want to hug you. Also on PS4, explore the Alaskan wilderness with Never Alone, a beautiful puzzle game with an adorable pet fox. Guide a native Alaskan girl through harsh environments in a touching effort to save her village.

For Plus members gaming on PS3, look out for Dishonored, the critically acclaimed stealth game that celebrates player choice above all else.

Never alone has been on my list since forever very happy about it.

Jaqen_Hghar3316d ago

happened to a man with Valiant Hearts. Just don't buy anything digitally that's the policy a man took up after that happened.

darthv723316d ago

Dishonored i got on the 360 when it was free but i wouldnt mind getting some trophies with this one.

Rule of thumb: Never buy indies, especially on PS4. They always come to PS+.

nix3316d ago

Yeah but sometimes i buy bcoz i like supporting indies.

deadpoolio3163316d ago

Or ya know instead of being cheap and expecting everything to be free, you actually get say a job and purchase some games....I know I like it when I play a good game and those developers actually get to make games after that..But I have a job and purchase my own things PS+ games are just an occasional bonus

MysticStrummer3316d ago

"Rule of thumb: Never buy indies"

Before I got PS+ I thought I'd have that attitude and buy fewer games in general. As it has turned out I still buy what I want when I want it. Even doing that it only took 3 or 4 months for me to feel like my membership fee had paid for itself with free games and discounts. I don't worry about a game that's less than $20 going on sale or eventually being free. If I did I'd probably need to change hobbies.

XisThatKid3316d ago

F that I sometimes want games now plus if they are indeed Indy I don't mind supporting the industry creatives. Like I'm buying stealth Inc first day.

Silly gameAr3316d ago

I like supporting devs, so I'll buy games that I might find interesting. If they show up on psplus, well, that's just a risk I'm willing to take.

t-hall7853315d ago (Edited 3315d ago )

Guys when you click download, you're supporting the devs regardless. Sony doesn't force them to sell the game for free. They get a cut. Not as much as the original price of the game, but nonetheless a lot of people wouldn't have purchased the game otherwise. So it ends up in more hands. Even if you don't like the game, click download to support your indies.

Eidolon3315d ago

I have WAYY too many games to play to consider buying anything at full price(which is why I love Gamefly for AAA), I'd first consider supporting myself and my other vices/hobbies than the developers, there is too many games out there I would enjoy and not enough time to play them. I wait for the flash sales and PS+, that is plenty for me, because I am a cheap gamer.

MoveTheGlow3315d ago

Axiom Verge doesn't wait for a sale, man. That game is awesome and worth the price.

Kidmyst3316d ago

I debated on buying it, glad I held off now. My Son will really enjoy it too and Monster Bag on Vita. Looks like something he'll have fun with.

Christopher3316d ago

Finally! I don't own any of the PS4 games being offered!

Muzikguy3315d ago (Edited 3315d ago )

I'll be sure to check out Never Alone. A bit lost in Bloodborne right now!

As for those complaining about buying indies, I feel bad for you. If you "waste" $5-$20 on a game and feel like it's the end of the world, then you need to get your priorities straight. If I like a game I'll buy it and love it (not to be mistaken with 'make love to it'). Developers need to make money off their games or they won't be able to make more. Why people need to be so cheap is disheartening. All the talk of things that will ruin the industry I'm surprised that's never brought up. Don't get me wrong, I'm not buying a lot of indies either. That's because I have plenty of games as it is and Plus just keeps giving me more. I don't play most of them. On the occasion I may buy a few, I sidle won't be complaining when they're "free" later on. If that's the case don't buy AAA games either. Let's all just wait until they're on Plus.

I'm sorry I just don't understand why people get so worked up over "wasting" a few dollars. I'd guarantee you waste a lot more than that, just picking on video games

Bathyj3315d ago

It definitely caught my eye when it came out, but I didnt buy it as I had too much else to play at the time. I will get it for sure now.

Its good we get these game we might not otherwise try. If it wasnt for PS+ I wouldnt have played Counterspy.

Love the hell out of that game, from the stylized graphics, the atmosphere, gameplay is great and even the music was awesome. Glad I stumbled onto it.

Orionsangel3315d ago (Edited 3315d ago )

Never Alone is a good game but I've had it on Steam a while now. So it's disappointing.

Great game. People should enjoy it a ton.

Bennibop3316d ago

Was going to buy it this week to play on my new vita tv, lucky I didn't.

Rimeskeem3316d ago

Yah, was surprised to see that

MegaRay3316d ago (Edited 3316d ago )

Gonna be my first killzone game. And who kwo knows, I might buy the HDs if I liked it.

-though I have too many RPGs and ps1 classics so I might not try it for a while-

Edit: wait, its 8GB? I might just put it in my download list till I finish some of the games in my memory card.

Yodagamer3315d ago

Yep it's compatible with ps tv. Though i've heard there are some frustrations with using the pointer for the melee attacks.

The Magic of 'Dishonored’s' Blink

It’s a shame, really, that so few games have “borrowed” Dishonored’s Blink – in the right hands, such a power could be game-changing.

It felt kinda cheap to me… both in terms as a tactic, and game design

Abnor_Mal435d ago (Edited 435d ago )

There was a small game called Aragami that “borrowed” the blink, that was a good game.

Unfortunately I heard the sequel wasn’t good so I stayed away from trying it out.

sairenfox2099434d ago

The sequel changed some of the mechanics from the first game but it was still a very polished and enjoyable experience. You should definitely give it a shot sometime. The game's currently on sale on Steam

Abnor_Mal434d ago

Okay thanks for the heads up, will look out for it being on sale one day.

I really did like the first and played it back to back as soon as I finished the first play through.
