Illinois based High Voltage Software has a decent pedigree in video games development with over 30 games to their credit. However their latest effort with remastering 2013's over the top action, open world game, Saints Row IV is bit of a mixed bag.
More click-bait. Not surprising.
It's just another site where they throw their writers a few cents, perhaps even a buck or two, to push out content. Of course the vast majority of it is going to be dumb, or simply click-bait filth. We need to stop bothering with sites like this altogether.
Yeah we saw the Digital Foundry analysis too. But that's some fine regurgitation. Good work.
Yet the game has some weird problems- https://www.youtube.com/wat... But Gat Out Of Hell is awesome unplayable when things keep spawning and can't be killed.
What a terrible port.
Shout out to Illinois developers! Woohoo!
Look at the still shot in that second vid. There's either something wrong with the Xbox version or the way they captured the video. That shot is roughly 2:45 in the video and you can pause it at any time and the Xbox version looks like it's capturing two different frames at once while the PS4 version looks clean. Maybe crappy version of motion blur effect? You can really see it a few seconds later when you see the blue checkpoint icon outside the room.
yeah visuals is no issue for either console... I'm looking forward to Xbox do some great tech upgrades
Yeah it is nothing more than a shoddy lazy port to cash in and possibly earn some funds to make Saints Row 5. Have it on Xbox One because my wife loves the Saints Row series for some reason. The game is a step up over the last gen versions and although it is crisp and clean it is very ugly.
