New Video Game Releases: What Gamers Want for the Week of 12-8-14

This truly is the first week in quite sometime where there are no major AAA releases to be found, but there are a few smaller ones that may coax you into parting with some cold hard cash. The notables this week are Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, Destiny: The Darkness Below, and The Talos Principle, which is an indie first person puzzler.

I must be getting very apathetic in my old age because I could care less about any of those games mentioned.

This is pretty late on the news, it's currently free right now.

DaReapa1496d ago

Very true. I've claimed both.

Aiwaari1495d ago

do i have to put in my card info before i get the "Free" Games

porkChop1579d ago

I don't think so. I claimed lots of free games before I added my card to buy BL3.

Sono4211578d ago

Honestly everyone here should pick this up now, it's an absolutely AMAZING game, very well done, with some very well thought out puzzles. No shortage of content either, man... I might actually go replay this right now..

porkChop1579d ago

Why the quotation marks? It *is* free.

MadLad1579d ago (Edited 1579d ago )

Yeah. They're definitely free lol.

LucasRuinedChildhood1579d ago (Edited 1579d ago )

Not a big fan of the Epic Games Store but it's not "free" - there are no strings attached. A game is being made free on the store each day for 12 days. There's been some other standouts like Celeste, Superhot and Ape Out as well.

Godmars2901578d ago

Can you only play them through the Epic store launcher? Can the launcher be deleted and you still have the games?

Cikatriz_ESP1578d ago

@Godmars290

And do you pay for the Epic store launcher? Still sounds a lot like free.

Godmars2901578d ago

@Cikatriz_ESP:
Are you required to keep the Epic store on the same PC as the games in order to play them. If the answer is yes, then there's your ambiguous "free". If you can't see it, don't want to see it, enjoy your "free" games as Epic reminds you that they have a store they "want" you to use.

MadLad1579d ago

The EPIC store. A store so good that they need to buy timed exclusives and offer free games just to get you to look at it.

Hey. This is good on the consumer's end. Take advantage of the free games. Typically I do. I still never buy the timed exclusives until they hit other storefronts.

MadLad1578d ago

Either counter my statement or leave it be. Nothing I said is innately false, so dumb little comments like this serve no purpose.

Add something substantial to the conversation, or don't be part of it :)

SamPao1578d ago

@TheRealTedCruz who decides if something is substantial though? ^^

MadLad1578d ago

@sampao

A semblance of a point would be a great start.
