Remember how we didn't get to see any gameplay footage of Dead Island 2 at E3 - you know, the biggest video game event for announcements and generating hype? Well, that's because it just wasn't ready to be shown at all.
We sat down with Jörg Friedrich at this year's Gamescom and asked him why they decided to opt for a pre-rendered concept trailer over holding out for gameplay instead.
"Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver are today very happy and proud to announce that "Dead Island 2" (their multimillion copy selling first-person action RPG), is now available via Steam." - Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver.
"Deep Silver, Dambuster Studios, and PLAION are today very happy and excited to announce that they have just released the second expansion (“SoLA”) for "Dead Island 2" (the said expansion is availableright now for PC and consoles via digital stores)." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
In a late night surprise, it appears that some users are reporting that Dead Island 2 has been stealth dropped on Xbox Game Pass.
Good read. This game looks great.
I'm so glad they gave the franchise to Yager. Loving the game play so far.
