According to a new report, Xbox knows the next Fallout game has to release sooner rather than later and is working on it. Following the release of Starfield, Bethesda Game Studios is now working on The Elder Scrolls 6. And this is what it's going to be doing for the next several years. This means the next Fallout game is probably not going to be out until the 2030s unless something changes. To this end, Xbox knows it has to change something and get something out sooner.
Just bring the quality and hopefully some gameplay refinements.
Like build a new engine if you make me have a 45 second load to enter a building and exit a building on 9th gen hardware to your game is just taking the piss it's absolutely down to the engine and not the hardware it should have been possible to eliminate this load on the PS4 Xbox one but they failed to while other games like witcher 3 and GTA v had no problems with this.
Like all Bethesda games they really need to also address the ultra stiff character animation the dialogue scenes are not great and even in starfield they were substandard compared to other games look at how character interactions are done elsewhere it's far more engaging when you are not standing still talking
This is a problem....let the games be. Maybe try to get something out by the time next season rolls around. You've got time. If the fallout show continues like this then it'll be fine to wait and invest in a good game.
I think people are missing the point of this
It’s not rushing a releases for next year it’s Microsoft knowing Bethesda won’t get round to Fallout 5 until 2031 at the earliest and want it to become a franchise that can come out within a typical 4-5 year development over every 15 or so years.
I really do enjoy the fallout world, I always been into the series but couldn't get into new vegas cause the gameplay is a slog, the atmosphere was and still top notch tho, decide to finally play fallout 4 and it's been so mf fun it looks good in 60fps
With the pictures you've shown, the only supposed "downgrade" that the actual game has is more and better lighting from more light sources and less fog. Though, that's not even the case with the fog, as I've seen times in the game where there is fog that looks like that throughout the game world or at least in certain sections of it. Generally when it's raining during the day, you will get that fog effect. I've also seen it in early morning in the game.
Believe me, I am studying the graphics like crazy. I've spent the first 13 hours just walking around on foot looking at and admiring everything. This game, looks real in a lot of different ways. I think the only sections that look overblown with lighting are those that are in the suburbs where there aren't a lot of shadows. In the city, the game looks fantastic. Even with overblown lighting, the shadows help add some awesome contrast. Especially during the early evening hours, even when it isn't raining. Rain just adds even more beauty.
I think people are overlooking everything that is going on in the game and replacing it with what they think they don't see. There is so much animation in this game, I'm not sure how the artists did all of it and how the game engine is able to pull it off so smoothly. Even at 900p upscaled to 1080 on my 120" screen, I see zero aliasing. I cant imagine if they patch this game to 1080p like they did with AC... It will only make it that much sharper.
I'm having a blast with this game and I've only played one mission. The other 12 1/2 hours have been spent walking around on foot enjoying every second of the visual splendor that Ubisoft gave to us in this game.
The game looks great, but it's inconsistent in spots. For instance sometimes NPCs cast no shadows whatsoever (even in low lighting, rain or sun directly overhead, there should be a shadow beneath their feet) other times they do.
Nicky Pearce, at least in the birthday party scene, looked really weak in the texture department, like she belonged in a different game. The inside of the train looked off, at least during the day
Those are the only things that stuck out, everything else has looked amazing so far!
