"All too often, the idea that ‘you get what you pay for’ is thought to be gospel, but the fact of the matter is that you can find some outstanding titles that you can download for cheap – or free – through PlayStation Network. This week on Digital Delivery, we’re going to profile a pair of games that you will ultimately be able to score for free courtesy of PlayStation Network. Consider this the first look at “free” games of many, so we’ll start off gentle." - Steve Perry

WTMG's Thomas Medina: "As far as I’m concerned, console MMOs have always been in a weird place. PC is where the main game is most popular. MMOs were born there, work best there, and have the vast majority of titles. Mobile is then next in line, with touchscreens and portability that adds something new while functioning well. Console gaming, on the other hand, is not portable (for the most part). Plus, it uses a controller, which is not the best instrument when your control scheme requires a thousand buttons and a cursor. That being said, there is an audience, and where there’s money to be made, publishers find a way. So here we are with some of the biggest console MMO games and how I feel they handled 2021. "
Former Sony executive Shawn Layden has "no idea" what happened to Capcom Deep Down game, which disappeared after announcement.
Still sucks we haven't heard much from it. Really liked the concept behind it, and I feel like I was one of the very few who liked the game's music. A shame it's in hiatus as of now.
I think Platinum has been overextending itself for a good while now. Scalebound was canceled after missing deadlines and Bayonetta 3 has shown nothing since its announcement in 2017.
While the game never came out, I don't think it was time wasted. If you look well at how the camera follows the character and how it moves around during "gameplay", you'll notice it's spot-on identical to the camera in Resident Evil 2 Remake. Deep Down might have been cancelled, but it most likely became a proof of concept for Capcom in development of the REngine.
I played DCUO with the goal of getting as far as I could for free. Turns out its pretty fucking far. Got hooked, hit max level and wanted to partake in the end game content so subscribed for a month. If this is a sign of things to come I'm excited.
