Not really. It is a refreshing take on the classic COD formula that graced us a few years back but got stale after the departure of the core team that made Infinity Ward (along with West and Zampella). It is in no way a game changer, but for gamers who spent countless hours on MW1 and 2 and who like a fast paced arena based fps, it is going to be a classic game.
Game Changer? No. A great and fresh competitive fps i'll be playing for a long time? Yes it is. This game is awesome, i'd give it a 9.5 out of 10.
This release coupled with the price drop has pretty much sold Xbox One to me a good few months before I originally planned to pick one up. Can't wait to get my hands on it now.
If all it takes is another FPS to change people's opinions then that is pretty sad. FPS games have dominated games for nearly 10 years now. It's boring, i want other games getting the attention for once.
