Eets Munchies features clever animation and music — it’s a puzzle game where you have to get Eets to gobble-up lollipops and then snatch a cake from a rope to end the level. The look and feel of the game is very fun and cartoony and loading screens are pretty fast with their own style of animation. Eets Munchies harkens back to the fun we had years ago playing Lemmings or more recently games like Cut the Rope and Where’s My Water.
Eets Munchies remains a decent entry to the puzzle genre and its charming presentation provide a much needed cover to its lackadaisical gameplay.
WWC: In the sea of casual mobile games founds on the iOS App Store or Google Play, there tend to be a lot of clones. After playing one game, you start to feel like you’ve played them all. During our time at PAX Prime 2012 we stopped by the booth of Klei Entertainment, and it was there that I saw something special; a colorful game for the iPad named Eets Munchies. At first glance it looked like dozens of games that have come before it, but once it was demoed in front of us I quickly realized that Eets was no average mobile game.
Amidst the chaos of GDC, Klei Entertainment have announced that they are working on a sequel to Eets, their 2006 puzzle game.
