GTA V, Skyrim insistence for PS4 port

How long are you willing to put up with the ongoing silence from Bethesda and Rockstar with regards to a GTA V PS4 port and Skyrim PS4 port? Rockstar are perhaps the biggest sinner with their lack of communication regarding GTA V for PC, but are we slowly getting warmer towards both games finally coming out on Sony’s next-gen PS4 in 2014?

I'm all for ports of both of these games, as I havent played either...but only if they redo assets like they did in Tomb Raider. I just don't want a 1080p port with more anti-aliasing. Though, I can't imagine how much work it would be to redo every in game asset, to upgrade the textures and redo the geometry, lighting and world simulation to make them truly feel like a next gen experience.

From a publisher and developers point of view, is it even worth it with a game this large? Or will they spend more money redoing everything, then it's actually worth? I guess the question is, if you've already played and beat the game, would you go back and play through it again if they did redo everything to make it a truly next gen experience?

Or you can just play it on PC and mod it to look like a "next gen" game. I've owned Skyrim twice once for 360 and for PC and the PC version is by far superior to consoles.

True, but that would require me to actually build a PC I could play it on, which at this point would cost me $1500 from the ground up.Hardly worth it, to play just a few games. I prefer the comfort of the couch and quickness of the console. Not that I have any problem with PC gaming, I still love to play Age Of Empires and the SimCity games, but for anything other than real-time strategy games, I prefer the console.

I do dig all of the great mods for PC games though. So awesome that the community can do things as good or better than the developers themselves.

I would buy Skyrim again even though I have it multiple times already and on different systems(PS3,360,PC) as long as they did a "Definitive Edition."

I would pass on GTAV, once was enough for me.

If they ported Skyrim, I'd want mod support

Skyrim with some form of Steam Workshop would be incredible. They added Steam support on Portal 2 for PS3. Obviously, this would require more effort, but it would sell like crack!

I've got absolutely no interest in playing a game that has already been released on inferior machines. Why not just have a new game?

A man immediately thought of Skyrim when someone asked if anything should be remade for PS4. A man remembers the framerate and specifically the troubles with RAM that held Skyrim back on PS3 (though it was still fantastic and a man platinumed). Playing with a stable framerate and faster loading times with some better textures would be amazing. Also they could use the touchpad for switching and free up some buttons a man is sure.

Final Fantasy IV Pixel Remaster Review – An Epic Tale Of Pixelated Portrayals

Gary Green said: We’re finding ourselves in a similar position with the Pixel Remaster edition of Final Fantasy IV as we were with Final Fantasy III since, once again, we’ve received a slightly upscaled, more vibrant port of the original game when there’s already an expanded 3D remake available. As such, we’re playing a game which, even after its long-awaited release, still lives very much in the shadow of its remake.

If only they didn't screw ps4 owners over with a physical release. I'd have ran through this in a heartbeat.

The first one I played, it was the one that made me fall in love with JRPGs and is still my favorite to this day. A masterpiece
