The demo for Haze, the much-discussed, oft-delayed sci-fi first-person shooter from developer Free Radical, hit Sony's online PlayStation Store yesterday, and 1UP couldn't resist the chance to finally get a crack at it. Haze sees you commanding trooper Shane Carpenter, a soldier for Mantel Global Industries, a giant, multinational corporation out to crush the mysterious rebel group known as the Promise Hand.
Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "When shopping for new video games you can often trust the name publisher or developer on the box to be an indication of the quality of the game. Names like Nintendo, Square Enix, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Capcom, Xbox Game Studios and Sega are world famous because they helped shape the industry by releasing some of the most defining video games of all time. Though sometimes even these great gaming houses stumble and put out a stinker."
Splatterhouse remake . Loved the og’s at the arcade growing up . Hell the best thing about the remake was the og,s were included . And left alive by Square . That game had so much potential , but the gameplay was worse horrendous .
I'm pretty much certain that any Sonic game that comes out will be terrible, I've not enjoyed one since the original side-scrolling days of the MegaDrive.
Guns, drugs, and unnecessary war. Fun for the whole family.
I am really looking forward to this game.
Haze aka Turok on Nector.
in the preview they said use the LEFT TRIGGER to use Nectar.
Not all that accurate with the actual review. I'm wondering if they played the game? Other wise I'm gearing up to buy Haze. It's not the best experience but it's not the worst either.
Sure the single player in the demo is a little sloppy. Very little gets explained and very little story spoiled. Although, thats why its called a demo. They aint gonna spoil every bit of story, cmon. How else will they sell the game?
But the real highlight is the multi player. Each side has its pros and cons and Im expecting the multi player to be a blast. No loading, lagfree multi matches. Bring it on, I say.
And lets be honest here. Who plays FPS for its storyline anyway? Its all about blasting your HUMAN opponent into smithereens. And HAZE looks like its gonna deliver on that front.
