Not really...what's stopping Ms from doing it as well.

Thats a good point. However, they're not doing it and Sony is. That's the difference.

Spurg3755d ago

Yeah because Ms just decided to stream Halo 4 on a device just for the sake of it.

Microsoft will do it but the question is when?

And until they do that's another feature that the PS4 will have that's not avaible on the Xbox One. Like streaming via twitch (for now).

The big question is when. It's one thing being able to stream one game to a device, it's a totally different thing having a service beta testing at the end of the month with releasing on a big scale in the summer. For all we know Microsoft could be years away from a sellable service (there is a lot more than just streaming a game when it comes to a service like this).

A gaming, TV, and movie service would be incredible. May as well throw music in there as well.

Hopefully Sony is finally leveraging their vast media and entertainment resources into something innovative and cohesive.

There's no reason why they couldn't have been Netflix.

The way it appears, Sony has said less about cloud gaming, and done more before Microsoft did. Their foray into providing consumers with hands on benefits begins later this month.

That is going to have quite some lasting perception unless MS comes out and shows what their cloud is all about, because that seemed like a major selling point for their new console.

more walk than talk,eh?

actually Sony used the power of the cloud as far as i know early as Uncharted 2

its amazing how the PlayStation has risen from the most belittled brand inside Sony Corp to one of its most enduring brands today and perhaps Sony's saving grace.

very interesting

ps3 was the ugly duckling too that turns out to be a beautiful magnificent gaming swan song for the 7th gen

Sony is evolving pretty well.. Im liking the great changes they made so far.. No longer arrogant & unfocused.. Now theyre seeing the big picture & are starting to make great changes that benefit its customers

Sony did learn from the previous mistakes with the PS3, but none could expect it would be this much.
Right now, I like where they are going.
