Alien: Isolation – This is the Aliens Game You’ve Always Wanted | OnlySP

OnlySP: Aliens: Colonial Marines was one of my most anticipated titles of all time. I had been waiting for so long for a good Aliens game, and for those of you that follow the site, you know how big of a disappointment that was. For anyone to take up the Alien IP, it’ll involve a lot of digging to get out of a hole that Gearbox dug with the release of Colonial Marines. Alien: Isolation looks to escape that hole and give fans a game they’ve been asking for.

Creative Assembly, made Medieval 2 Total war, and Rome Total war and PC gamers still regard those games as been the best RTS games ever made for PC.

This is entirely new genre for Creative assembly, but the studio has pedigree to pull it off, its a wait and see on this one.

Sega is just the publisher.

They made Viking: The Battle for Asgard on consoles as well. Very underrated game in my opinion. Still play it time to time. I loved the old school feel of it of having to do objectives to get to each battle.

Heh, I'm gonna buy it on PC when I get back to my desktop PC next week.

Don't forget Spartan: Total Warrior... That game was so good! (And very underrated, as well).

I can't understand people who are skeptical about this... The past Alien games turned out shit because of the developers... Not because of "SEGA".

P.S: This is the first in-house developed Alien game.

Creative Assembly makes games that are broken for the first few months of release. More broken than BF4.

Rome 2 might've been broken, but Shogun 2 wasn't.
And their past games (sans Empire) weren't either.

True but they are massive strategy games with lots of complexity to them, not linear SP games.

Massively complex strategy games have a lot more that's likely to go wrong than a single-player atmosphere-focused game.

And how was Colonial Marines hyped up? That's right by a lengthy "gameplay" video...So calm down and notice that SEGA is still involved. What that means is that quality is not assured. Do you think SEGA was blind to the mess Gearbox made of Colonial Marines? Bullshit, if that was the case SEGA would have sued Gearbox out of existance.

Secondly, Creative Assembly is a strategy game dev that releases games before they are ready and openly admits to making games in a way that caters to a high metacritic score.

If all this is waht gives you hope for the game, that is fine. In my case it makes me worried that once again one of my favorite franchises will get shit treatment from a publisher and developer that does not give a damn.

Why AM I DUPED?
They havent got my money yet, all I ment was that I liked everything heard, seen and read about it, Ive seen trailers, interviews and some snippets of the demo in the IGN blog thingy talking about the game and it went on for half an hour or so.

I am wary/sceptical about this and who wouldnt be after the previous disaster that Sega summoned.

But since I am a fan of the franchise its hard not to get excited over this.
I got it somwhere that the developer have stated that the game is already playable from start to finnish so they will have months of tweaking and bug fixing if true.

I know this is Sega and I wont ever forget how they let the whole gearbox deal happen, but Sega have published good games also. AVP 2010 is a decent Alien game for starters and Vanquish is awesome.

IT ALL BETTER BE REAL.
So hold your horses pal, as I will hold on to my money until some reviews have shed light over it.
