Very happy it was confirmed 1080p native on PS4

hulk_bash19874217d ago

Definitely on my radar for next year. This looks much better than Dead Island.

ABizzel14217d ago

Agreed, not the biggest Dead Island fan (it's a decent game), but Dying Light is looking good.

solar4217d ago

Dead Island was terrible. this looks sweet.

sinjonezp4217d ago

I like it. I like it more than i thought. The machanics reminds me a little of far cry 3 and mirrors edge maybe?(imo) it did remind me of dead island but had a lot more freedom to do more and the pace was good. I am sure the build is early but there was some weird zombie interaction, shadows, and tree glitches. Other than that, definitely one to look foward to.

Elzer4217d ago

With less than 10 zombies on the screen it better be pulling off 1080p lmao!!!!

_FantasmA_4217d ago

Go play your 12 frames per second zombie game with poor mechanics on your Xbox One.5

DialgaMarine4217d ago

At least the zombie have some detailed and don't look like a bunch of identical PS2 level models that can't even move. But since you're on that track, Dead Nation anyone? And phenomenon was on 7 year old hardware.

HollowZbankai4216d ago

Hmm? I'm sure I wasn't the only person to see the upper part of the level. The Bridge? I forget but when he was using the zipline, there was like 20-30 zombies to the left after he landed. Go look. I also dont think they want to give the full experience away just yet. They wont throw 50 zombies at you in a demo to "showcase" certain aspects of the game in a 5 min period. If there was 50 zombies im sure the guy would be running alot. So we get to miss out on beautiful scenery. It felt like perfert pacing to me. I'd rather get to see slower gameplay, Then him running full sprint. We already seen a bit of running in the first teaser they gave. With 4 billion people watching you need to sell the game. Me? I'll be buying. :D

donman14216d ago

Not surprised. This game is on my radar and is shaping up to be the best zombie game this new generation for 2013-2014 titles.

kingduqc4216d ago

running 1080p on PS4?!?! ALL HAIL that is quite nice graphics and the frame rate looks perfect with no drops

Plagasx4217d ago

Unlike that "other" game er hem...

starchild4216d ago

Uh.. I saw a lot of judder in this video. Doesn't look that smooth to me.

ZombieKiller4217d ago

Cant wait for this either! These game announcements make me glad I bought my ps4! Then again, having the PS4 does too lol

ricochetmg4217d ago

First. Will it be 1080 across the board ?

Statix4217d ago (Edited 4217d ago )

I wonder why there isn't a confirmation of the resolution on Xbox One?

DeadIIIRed4217d ago

Doesn't sound appealing to say native 1080p on PS4 and 720p on Xbox One in the same sentence.

walter_feng4217d ago (Edited 4217d ago )

720p confirmed :((

Nathaniel_Drake4217d ago

The Pewdiepew guy did a run on Dying light on the VGX show and had a Green A button prompt. It seemed like it didn't look as good as the PS4 so maybe it was the Xbone?

donman14216d ago

No it will not run at 1080p on the Xbox720… I mean XboxOne.

ZombieKiller4217d ago

Probably 720p on xbox.

They should have stuck with the name xbox 720

wtopez4217d ago

Points for originality in joke.

OverPaperSkies4217d ago

A lot of jaggies on that ps4 version.

Statix4217d ago

You must have eagle vision to be able to discern jaggies from a 1080p image supersampled down to a 720p Youtube video.

thorstein4217d ago (Edited 4217d ago )

That's your monitor, feed, or settings, friend.

On mine, it looks amazing.

You do realize youtube only streams at 720, correct?

Looking Back At The $386,000 Dying Light 'My Apocalypse Edition', 10 Years Later

Nobody bought it for an obvious reason.

Gamingsince1981123d ago

Wtf did this edition come with ? A real helicopter and a real zombie virus ?

Vithar123d ago

For one lucky person willing to spend $386,000, the My Apocalypse Edition of Dying Light promised a staggering collection. It included the buyer’s face in the game, a human-sized ‘Volatile’ statue, and parkour lessons with a freerunning team. It also came with night vision goggles, an all-expenses paid round trip to Techland’s offices, and four signed copies of the game. Oh, and it also came with a custom-built, ‘zombie-proof’ survival shelter.

LOL but it was a stunt from the team:
‘It was a PR stunt and got a lot of media attention for its wild and over-the-top nature, it was designed to generate buzz around the game’s release. It did a great job of getting the game noticed, though! But nobody purchased it – thankfully, I guess!’

I finally beat DL2 this past weekend. I’ll pick up the Beast for sure.

It got a lot of shit from fans more not being as scary at night on release. I was in that boat. But once I gave it a fair shot I really loved it. The movement was so much more expressive to me. I enjoyed the story too.... for the most part. Was my game of the year when it came out. With all the updates for darker nights and all that, it's even better. I feel almost exactly the same about stalker 2 right now. The erojank games are scratching my itch.
