Sony sold over 1 million PlayStation 4 consoles in just 24 hours after its US debut, and a week later Microsoft achieved the same 1 million sales for its Xbox One a day after its launch in several countries. Earlier today, Sony revealed it has now sold over 2.1 million PS4s as of December 1st, of which 700,000 came from Europe and Australasia after two days of availability. Microsoft has provided an update on its own next-gen progress today, but it’s not what you’d expect.

Really? NO SH*T they are. I have no doubt MS is waiting to see how November played out in full before they say anything. They already knew PS4 was ahead with launch numbers in the U.S. 1 million for Sony to a reported 730k for MS, but the recent data coming from retailers suggests MS may have been able to make up some ground with Black Friday sales. I guess we will be waiting until NPD's come out.
