Beyond its peculiar choice of name, Carps & Dragons largely made me reminisce about a board game called Grabbin’ Grasshoppers. Plucked from obscurity during my misspent youth, players were patiently left waiting for the plastic critters to pounce into the air – frantically trying to scoop as many as they possibly could before their competition ever had the opportunity to do so themselves.

Diehard GameFAN: Carps & Dragons Review

DHGF:
The game controls as it should, looks solid, has both easy and challenging sections and has a somewhat unique premise. Despite my lack of grand excitement for the title, I still admit Carps & Dragons has a solid game to offer. If it weren’t so repetitive and tedious in its core elements, I would give this one a good recommendation.

Review: Carps & Dragons (New Gamer Nation)

Fishing generally is a love/hate hobby. Some people find it relaxing to spend time in silence waiting for a fish to grab onto some bait, while others see it as a dull, pointless experience. Carps & Dragons for the 3DS (originally released as Fish’em All on WiiWare in 2009) looks to make fishing more exciting, but ultimately fails to accomplish appealing to either side of the fishing spectrum.
