Will Next-Gen Consoles Be The New Home for Indie Games?

It's only days until both the PlayStation (PS) 4 and the Xbox One come out. With these comes the parade of mind-blowing AAA titles, such as Forza 5, Killzone: Shadowfall, Knack, and Titanfall. I think between Consoles and PC Indie Devs have a lot of Options.

Right Now STEAM is FLOODED with Indie Dev Games and Sony seems to be the most Indie Friendly between the New consoles but that is NOT a Diss to MS who ALSO have said they have a Indie Dev push going for their XB1.

SO again it looks like Indie Devs can decide what type of game and audience they looking to go after and they now have plenty of options in doing so.

I would not say THE home but another home sure. Nothing is wrong with this. All it means for us is more games to play IF we want. Completely selective on what platform we play it on as well.

(So long as the game exist for it that is)

PC is the home for indie games. It's much easier to put a game on, let's say, Steam, than to put on Xbox One or PS4.

The consoles have a long ways to go before catching up to Steam's current indie game cavalcade, but the indie games that have been exclusive to certain consoles (like Journey for PSN and The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile for XBLA) were the ones that stood out immensely and turned out to be really fun too.

There's a lot of promise for indie games' future, whether on consoles or PC.
