Where Should Call of Duty Be Set Next?

Critically Sane: "Call of Duty: Ghosts is in stores now and the general consensus is that it is more Call of Duty, with less new bells and whistles than past iterations. For die-hard fans, that probably isn’t a bad thing; for the rest of us though, it sounds like Call of Duty needs a makeover. Fortunately the series has gone through this before, and the results were genre changing. With this in mind, there is no reason that history cannot repeat itself. But where does the series go from here? How does Infinity Ward and Treyarch shake things up again?" (Call of Duty: Ghosts, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Awesome, apparently you guys don't like Call of Duty. Fantastic. How about you comment on games you do like and stop being so negative? Just a thought...

where's the fun in that? jokes a joke and cod is a joke. cod used to be badass. so much so that it still rides the success of mw1 which that game was awesome. but that was a while back ya know. happens to alot of games i guess, but not as hardcore as its happened to the cod franchise ya know

Yet, despite it "riding the coat tails of MW1", it generally sells more units year over year. So not only is it getting return consumers, but new ones (read: not based on MW1's success).

On the shelf for a few years and come back better than ever. That wont happen though to many Greedy McCreedys.

I'd love if it took place on the back burner.

The same setting except instead of dogs there will be cats. I mean, that's innovation according to Activision, right? ^_^
kariyanine  +   573d ago
Big cats? Like Bengal tigers? I'll take a Snow Bengal as part of my squad.

Just make a new game.

Back to WW2. Or if COD won't go back to WW2 than Medal of Honor should. If they ever make another Medal of honor that is.
