How to Unlock Survival Mode & Survival Mode Maps in GTA Online

In GTA Online, Survival Mode is unlocked at Rank 15, but doesn't come available immediately. This guide shows you what needs to be done in order to unlock it, and explains how the rest of the Survival Mode maps are unlocked as well. (Grand Theft Auto Online, PS3, Xbox 360)

Or just be invited by another player who has unlocked it, I think I was rank 5 or 6 when I finished my first survivor

You're correct, this guide is aimed at how to unlock it yourself however. I don't really like depending on others anyway.

Survival is the best! It's no quick 7min mission, you have to SURVIVE!!
