10 Xbox Live Indie Games Worth Playing

Buddy Acker of SpawnFirst writes: "The Xbox Live Indie Games section of the Xbox Live Marketplace is depressing. I’ll actually go a step further: it’s utter junk. Most of the games available on it are poor clones of popular games, games filled with pictures of barely clothed cartoon women or farting games rife with quicktime events. Most people will stick with Xbox Live Arcade when attempting to find an independent game to play because otherwise their efforts will be akin to searching for a dime in a fountain full of pennies and cement."

Review - Decay (Xbox One) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "It’s sad to criticize a game that tries its best to impress players with an occasionally shocking story and some clever puzzles, but Decay is just a below average point-and-click adventure that has aged poorly. It’s not scary and it’s less clever than it thinks it is. Had this game been released on PC, where I could play it on a smaller screen and with a mouse, I would most certainly have enjoyed it a lot more. As it stands, as an Xbox One exclusive, this one is better left forgotten."

It lit up the Indie Game section during its four-part outing with unexpected scares. Now though, returning back all these years later sadly doesn’t quite prove as frightful, but that’s not to say it isn’t at least worth a look."
