Hands on Impressions with the Xbox One | Co-Optimus

CO - "Microsoft is touring the USA showing off the Xbox One at various stops around the country. Access to the shows are free, though space is limited. Yesterday in Philadelphia we attended one of these stops to get some hands on time with the next-gen system. Luckily for us there was no wait to get inside and we got plenty of hands on time with the system and games."

Great stuff.
- Killer Instinct isn't my style, but it does sound promising.
- I'm not a racing fan either, but Forza is nothing but 'win.'
- DR3 is continuing to interest me more and more. Ashame about the demo, but if the devs follow through w/ all they said is possible- Count me in.

You just named every game I have pre ordered for my XB1, also FIFA14, NBA2K14, and I'm taking a gamble but I pre ordered RYSE lol. Hopefully the reviews release before launch so I can decide to pick it up or not. I'll already have spent $520 plus tax on Nov 15th from picking up my PS4 day one console, extra dual shock and killzone :-) Only 1 month left!!!!!!!!!

Great bundle choice. I have full faith that this Killzone will set a new standard for the franchise. I'm skeptical about the Multi-player, but would be pleasantly surprised if it holds up to its "competition."

i hope so killzone 3 had good graphics but game play was too boring

Between KI, DR3, Forza, Ryse, BF4 and Watchdogs... not to mention the console and an extra conch... I'm going to be spectacularly broke.

Sounds like the guy talking about Ryse is more of a PC fanboy...

"Hands down this is the best gaming controller I've ever held." I've seen or heard too many people say that about the X1 controller. That's not including the fact that if someone is playing a game and hands me the controller, the setting automatically changes to my preference. No need to pause the game and go to the options screen to do that. Rumble motors in the trigger is just icing on the cake. I can't wait to shoot guns on FPS games.

Trust me when I say the controller is superb. I used it at Eurogamer. The grip edges on the sticks and the smaller size of the tips make the response very sensitive. The triggers feel even more pronounced to start with but after a few seconds I forgot I was using a new controller especially after 10 mins of BF4. The whole thing is ever so slightly smaller but was still fine for my shovel hands.

The rumble triggers could be a game changer. In Forza they are almost a bit unnerving to start with as they pulse when you lock up for example and you really do feel like you have lost it. I would probably turn down the intensity a bit if possible but they do add another dimension and will be great when I use a machine gun!

MS have done a good job on making a great controller even better through incremental improvements rather than trying to reinvent the wheel. I can see this still being the controller of choice for the hardcore shooter crowd for the next gen as well.
