Victor Grunn: "While the awkwardness of the campaign mode’s storyline is unfortunate, the game more than justifies its cost in terms of inventive mechanics, a refreshing setting and a well-thought-out realtime tactical system – all without the looming threat of microtransactions and booster-pack expenditures that so often are matched up with any card-based game."
Humble Bundle have launched their 12th PC and Android sale, offering seven game in the pay-what-you-want event. The sale running until the end of the month and includes three new releases previously unavailable on Android: Tetrobot & Co., Titans Attack, and Costume Quest.
Josh of RGN writes: "Ironclad Tactics comes from developer Zachtronics, an indie game developer that has several games in their portfolio which are mainly based on puzzle mechanics of some sort. Their main games other than this release are Infinifactory (our hands-on preview here) and Spacechem."
From the review: "By combining elements from collectible card games and Plants vs. Zombies, Zachtronic Industries has created a game that feels weirdly familiar yet brand new. Ironclad Tactics mixes the American Civil War with robots, creating an addictive strategy game overflowing with charm."
