Project Reality 2 Will Bring the Tactical FPS to a New Level

Project Reality is probably the most realistic military FPS you can find. The eight-year-old Battlefield 2 and ARMA 2 mod focuses heavily on squad tactics, and has players facing off in massive maps. Despite its age, however, the mod still have a large collection of dedicated players and the developers have been regularly improving it with better graphics and added realism.

Things are about to change, though. The team of modders have finally decided to step things up a notch with the announcement of Project Reality 2. It will be a free, standalone game that requires no retail game to play. It’s also being made in the CryEngine 3 engine, and looks and sounds amazing.

Don't forget that once you get your PC, you're not going to want to play the console versions of any multiplatform game ever again!

@pandamobile
You speak truth there i know apart from first partys trust me Anyone had chance to get hands on a pc of a multiplatform you have at home with settings on high or ultra you see why.

@rvanner
Your right i build custome pcs cost vary from what customer would want many try rip off people im one go after quality and try get best price for my costomers.
Good pc can actually be around 600/800 however could save money if you wish play it on your bg screen.
As for getting your money back. Your not wrong my rig i done cost me around £1200 but its more a enthusiast pc not needed for average joe gaming systen as my mates i built him up for 700 i500k hes happy.
Anyways what im tryin to say is STEAM has incredable deals on you just cant get on consoles unmatched unrivaled.
Also you normally save £10 on every game compared to console price £39.99 console. £29.99 PC
My steam account started proper 2 years ago with games ive bought ans steam sale my account worth nearly £1400 that has paid for my system heres why with sales that £1400 really cost me about £600-£700 PC Not only paid for but them games be backwords compatable for next gen. Sale games tyat was 29.99 now £7.99 £15 games now £3 ect. add it up. Its like i bought god help me black ops 2 i never pay £40 got for £19.99 cos my mate had it.

Pandamobile is right, You'd struggle to go back.

You will be surprised, a top PC really isn't that much more expensive, initial start up costs are more yes say £800 would get you a good gaming PC, but over the life span it is cheaper than consoles. Never buy from in store retailers like PC world. It worth putting in the time to research thoroughly and you will see how cheap it can be.

thanks im going to look into it. especially for gtaV... i know its not That expensive, just a matter of now i have to get a PC on top of a ps4... itll deff hav to be latter on but im sure its gonna happen this gen, and then u can welcome ur next new PC gamer to the PC gaming community lol.

@hiredhelp
When the Last of Us came out the thought of paying £40-45 like the old days for a game was hard to come to terms with. But I lived with it because the game was really quite incredible. I buy all my games of STEAM too. Upon release £10 cheaper is good enough but if like me, you are happy to not get each game upon release you can save so much money. for example. Hitman Absolution 4 months after it came out for £5. Bioshock infinite 1-2 months after release for £17, Sleeping dogs £10, portal 1 and 2 for £8 etc etc. Across the first two which would normally cost £80 you pay £23 - saving £57. After maybe 5 or 6 game purchases like this the difference between the console and PC start up costs are already cancelled out.

This is very true. Once you get used to PC, justifying the price of a console release is very hard. You are paying more for a less technically impressive product, on top of the deals you can find on a daily basis that brings top quality releases, often times, to less than ten bucks not all that far from launch.
The only game at the moment that I feel I would drop the money for is the Last of Us. Once I get a PS3 Black Friday that is. That said, I can expect to probably grab that one on the cheap at that time as well.

RVanner_4293d ago

@ Slaphappyjesus
"paying more for a less technically impressive product" is the right way to put it.
Paying £50 for a PS4 title would be far less painful because the difference will be reduced or maybe completely nullified depending on your PC's specs against it.

MadLad4293d ago (Edited 4293d ago )

Indeed. I can only speak for the here and now, however.
While I don't doubt that the PS4 and Xbox One will be able to offer comparable experiences to proper gaming PCs for some time after launch, the differences between a proper PC and a current gen console is very, very evident at this point.

Time for a new internal hardrive 1tb is not enough on pc so many mods so little time look forward to trying these.
