'The Division' may have a bad guy & has a huge open-world due to PS4 & Xbox One

Ubisoft is pushing what people think about when it comes to the open-world, even though Rockstar Games just had a pretty good one debut, but Ubisoft discussed how the Xbox One and PS4 are both opening up the possibilities for what The Division's open-world experience can be.

The Division's game director Ryan Barnard discussed what is unique about The Division's setting as well as how the Xbox One and PS4 really allow for the premise of this game to be properly executed. (PC, PS4, Tom Clancy’s The Division, Xbox One)

@M-M
The truth can be annoying. But that doesn't make it any less true.

He might be referring to the article about Ryse running at a native 900p and the XBone upsacling it to 1080p.

Back on topic:
UbiSoft seems to be shaping up to have a good line-up next year, with this and The Crew. This is also in my top 10 of next-gen games.

I hope to see some new game play footage soon, the E3 reveal left me wanting more. I also hope the open-world experience will go beyond New York. Some vehicle action would be good.

So basically The Division will Finally give consolers a taste of the great STALKER SERIES.

FPS/RPG open world sandbox with A.I. so good you think they are humans.

looking forward to The Division

I agree - this game may take the thunder away from COD, BF, Halo... Prediction: Titan Fall, Destiny, Division will take 2014.

I think many would argue about the Destiny thing but who knows
AngelicIceDiamond  +   878d ago

The only game that I'm really anticipating next-gen.

That Snowdrop engine is a thing of beauty. Totally caught me by surprise at E3 and that door-closing animation has become a sensation.

Also, I can't even begin to imagine how incredible a fully-sized and modelled Manhattan is going to be like. The shot of the city at the end of the first gameplay demo is a definitive tease of what next-gen can bring.

Oh man shutting a door has never been sexy but when I saw that guy creep by and shut it I was like damn! So real lol

I don't know much about this game.
Is it mutiplayer only?
True_Samurai  +   878d ago
Kind of. You can either pair with a team of 4 or play by yourself. But either way it's online only and there will be other gamers in your world

I'm worried about the "bad guy" thing. Like many Clancy games and books they'll probably be the bad guy simply because they aren't American and are jealous of that fact.
Bolts  +   878d ago
As if that matters. I wonder how many people stopped playing BF 3 because the Arabs were "bad".
abusador  +   878d ago
My money is on infamous in terms of nxt gen open world games but division might be a pleasant surprise.

If the gameplay is as smooth and detailed as the graphics are in The Division, I will not see the sun again as I will be holed up in my entertainment room for all eternity. Or at least until I have to go to the bathroom.
