Since when is a cross shape d-pad a bad thing? Being a fanboy is very unhealthy, I always wondered the psychology behind it. Personally,I like both consoles because I love to play video games.

glad i made someone laugh with that! those are my real opinions on the matter, slightly exaggerated. it's a totally biased and scummy fanboy post but honestly 360 controller was sweet, this one is the same thing pretty much. that's both a good and bad thing

play and charge kit is for idiots seriously. How is it any better than swapping rechargable batteries? I bought rechargable AA in 2006, 4 batteries costed me 15 bucks (comes with free charger). If my battery is going down I swap it with another set while the drained one recharges. Now you with your play and charge kit, have to connect a short USB cable to your controller, sit 1.5 meter away from your TV and risk that someone will trip on the wire and pull your precious console with him. Thinking that this is any better than rechargable AA is just stupid.

3 key improvements of the XB1 controllers as stated on the article.

1. Rumble Trigger. Feel the difference between the recoiled action of a shotgun and a machine gun.

2. D-Pad total fixed and fighting games should no longer be an issue.

3. Pass along the Fun. With Kinect included in every system, the controller pairing will allow for instant gamerstag switching that will not only detect the user, but load all his friendlist and controller settings.

The best just keeps getting better.

My biggest xbox 36o controller complaint was that damn xbox menu button. I hated accidently hitting it in FPS games and forced to sit there to be a bullet sponge as I waited the couple of seconds to get back the game. I am so glad they moved it out of the way.

Looks great to me. I preferred the size of the 360 controller over the PS3 one. This one looks to improve on an already pretty rock solid controller.

Microsoft said it has 40 innovations in its controller. It's nice that they're showing a few improvements, but I don't believe there are 40 of them, and actual innovation too.

was it 40 innovations or 40 changes? cause i think they said changes, and some of the changes they were talking about were things like spacing and button sizes...not all of them were features

Hey I got nothing against the control pad and I thought previous XBox/XBox 360 pads were much better and more intuitive than Sony's but that image ad simply didn't do it for me.
