Stevivor -- Paradox Interactive today announced War of the Vikings, a multiplayer game being developed by Fatshark.
War of the Vikings is a standalone game, yet part of the War franchise -- Paradox has previously released War of the Roses -- "that will pull players into the brutal and bloody Viking Age, challenging them to design a personalized warrior and sack England as a mighty Norseman – or defend it as a brave Saxon," Paradox said. The game features close-quarters 64-player combat set in the battlefields of 9th and 10th Century England.
GG3 writes: "Black Friday promotions online are as brutal as in real life, so it’s hard to pick out where exactly the lowest prices are. Select Steam keys on Games Republic are currently lower than anywhere else, certainly as the store handles region-free pricing that stays fair to Europeans. So, here are the best ones to pick up."
With your sword held aloft you hastily close distance on your foe, arrows and spears narrowly miss their target as you get ever closer to your quarry.
Your swords meet with a shuddering crash, you back away preparing to strike again - Writes MrBadDog
bet this would be cracking to play with 2 full teams of friends :-)
just wish it was a little bit cheaper, added to my wishlist for now
Sounds a lot like Chivalry. Seems like it could be fun.
As one of the useless players, I appreciate the opportunity to be a laugh!
SteamFirst: Today I have a review on War of the Vikings for you. The violence didn’t save this games score, its a hard game to enjoy.
