Judging from the trailer, it will probably have that multiple-story sequences like they had in DA:2 - I could be wrong.
That right there is what killed the game for me. Bioware should focus on one story, and expand upon it like they did in DA:O

By multiple story sequences do you mean the timeskips? Or do you mean the Story/Secondary/Side quests?

PooEgg3964d ago (Edited 3964d ago )

I don't know how you got 'multiple-story sequence' from the trailer? But maybe I missed something.

I suspect that BioWare has a pretty good idea of what they did wrong with the DA2, and while that doesn't mean they will fix those things, I honestly think they are trying to make DA3 a good game. The question is will they succeed.

I say lets wait until we have more information before we judge. That trailer was simply not enough to prove anything.

But I will say that Verric has gotten more manly, the war must have toughened him up a bit, hope we see a lot of him in DA3.

anticlimax3964d ago (Edited 3964d ago )

Don't think they know all they did wrong with DA2, if only because not everyone agrees on what's wrong with it. For example there's a great deal of people who feel the combat had improved in DA2, while there's also people who saw the spiritual successor to BG2 die and turn into another buttonmasher (guess it's obvious what I think).

DA2 combat= people will be disappointed
DA:O combat= people will be disappointed

@anticlimax

You make a great point. A perfect example is all the bickering that goes on at BSN. Every fan is different and everyone has ideas of what needs to change, but every opinion has an opposite and it falls to BioWare to make the call on which direction is the better route for the series.

Hopefully they will be smarter this time, and do what is right for the series, at least we know they are not rushing things this time, and that gives me hope.

As for DAO vs DA2. I actually liked both games, but I felt that many of the changes they made to DA2 were very ill conceived. Let's hope the next game will be everything we are hoping for.

Other characters I badly want to return: Alistair, Hawke, The Warden.

I mean, there has to be a good reason why the protagonists of DA1 and DA2 disappear!

PooEgg3964d ago

I think that BioWare had a plan for that at the end of DA2, but I get the feeling they canned it when they dropped the expansion. We might get a cameo of Alistair, but if we do hear from the Warden or Hawke again it will most likely be in rumors. But I kinda hope I am wrong, because I liked them both a lot and would not mind meeting up with them again.

Can't wait for th new Info, hope it goes back to its roots, and would like to see some previous characters.

Dragon Age: Inquisition Retro Review – A Nostalgic Leap Short Of Legendary

Dragon Age: Inquisition, developed by BioWare, is the third installment in the cherished Dragon Age series. It represents a major evolution from its predecessor, Dragon Age II, incorporating elements that were well-loved in the original Dragon Age: Origins but also introducing new features that stand on their own. While Inquisition improves upon Dragon Age II in many respects, it falls short of the exceptional standards set by Origins.

The quality of these free games has been awesome. Before anyone says they are not free I was already giving Amazon $6 a month for prime shipping and video this isn't why I pay for my subscription

Teflon02910d ago

Still technically paying for it, even if it wasn't your intent. They've been giving out games with Twitch prime, they just changed the name. It's the same sub as that was. If you weren't aware, great. But you're paying for it.

That being said, I don't personally care. For me as long as you're willing to pay that for 1 service and get more. I personally take it as free. Like prime video, music though the prime version is trash, and all the Twitch benefits are all free to me because I didn't care about those when I got it. Just comes with it.

Only noted because that's technically wrong as a defense to that argument, whether I'm on yourside with the initial statement lol

mkis007910d ago

It's free to anyone who has already been paying. IDK why people need to split hairs.

TinkerNation910d ago

How does Prime Gaming work? Do you keep the games, or is it only as long as you have Prime?

Germaximus910d ago

lol Nice distraction from how they're now charging people to increase viewership. It's "just an option." /wink lol
