The Evil Within Confirmed to be using Id Tech 5

"As we've speculated before, it seems Tango Gameworks is developing this game with a highly modified version of Id Tech 5, according to Famitsu.

Mikami previously said that the engine has been modified to the extent of it being an "internal engine" (PC, PS3, PS4, The Evil Within, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

hopefully we won't get a lot of texture pop-ups (for consoles at least) ala Rage.

This game is also for the next gen consoles, but if you are just talking about the current then I understand.

Can't wait for this game, love Shinji! :D

Nice, people may cry about the driver problems ID had with Rage, But their megatexturing system is something amazing. You could run Rage at 60fps on a toaster, its nice to see a game with the low end systems in mind. Its very concerning as a budget PC gamer to only see big graphical juggernaughts that you know aren't gonna run so hot maxed out.
