Fake Online Romance Leads To Real-Life Manhunt

Online games in China are a big business—so much so that every now and then a company will put out lavish rewards to get gamers to either register for a game, or to play a game for a certain period. These gifts range from limited items to use in-game to sometimes pretty good real world prizes, like an iPad mini. During the holiday break a female player decided to defraud a game contest and left a single gamer broken-hearted to win herself an iPad mini, drawing the ire of netizens around China: they've even launched a "human flesh search".

PLS DOWNVOTE kotaku, this is the worst website on N4G. I'd rather have HIPHOPGAMER back at least he had passion for the gaming industry and was REAL.

Downvote button must be broken, surely Kotaku should have no stars left by now!?
