WP Central: Rebellion Games has been rather busy these day cranking out Windows Phone 8 games. First we saw Guns 4 Hire and now you have Dredd vs. Zombies.
In Dredd vs. Zombies, as you might guess, you play the role of Judge Dredd who must protect Mega-City Once from an invasion of grumpy, flesh eating zombies. The game has three gaming modes, weapons upgrades, nice looking graphics and overall is a fun, challenging game for your Windows Phone 8 device.
Triverse writes, "For anyone that is a retro gamer of any sort, Judge Dredd feels a lot like Smash TV, Total Carnage or Loaded/Re-Loaded from the 32-Bit days (early to mid 90′s). Just straight up shooting and finding the switch to open the door to the next level (here is a hint, kill EVERYTHING and you can advance). This is [our] kind of game, run and gun, artistic slo-mo zoom ins that are awesome (and after 10 hours of playing, still cool to see)."
Nineoverten.com has put up a review of Judge Dredd vs Zombies, Rebellion's latest title for the iPhone. The game is a 3D-isometric dual-stick shooter, starring the iconic Judge Dredd as he takes on waves of zombies in arena-like levels.
Touch Arcade: Judge Dredd vs. Zombies [$.99] is what you think it is, which is to say, it's an over-the-top dual-stick shooter that pits the equally over-the-top dystopian cop against hordes and hordes of the undead. Despite all signs of the End Times have come pointing to "Yes," Dredd is as moronically meat-headed as ever. The slick Versace-wearing, line-slinging judge, jury, and executioner has his hands full with himself throughout the entire experience. It's as if, in a weird twist, this game is more about Dredd's need to stroke his own ego than his desire to purge his precious and pure Mega-City One of zombies.
