Vita Seller or Not, PlayStation Plus Offers a Stellar Lineup of Free Games

1up - It has not been the most stellar of years for PlayStation Vita, a handheld system that is arguably fighting just to become relevant, let alone stay that way. Sony's PlayStation Plus service, on the other hand, turned the corner this year and has become an invaluable service for many since the implementation of the Instant Games Collection announced at E3 in June. Plus is now scheduled to land on Vita in less than a week, and while on its own it is unlikely to be a major system-seller, it does look like it'll provide Sony with another major bullet point for selling Plus subscriptions.

You do know the EU PS+ changes the free games for PS3 more often as the USA PS+ too right?

USA just got more of them at the same time up front, where EU will get them soon too. When you look at PS+ for PS3 this also happens. USA had Ratchet All 4 One for months, EU just got it. EU had RE5 Gold first, USA got it a month later.

I think Wipeout 2048 will be there for PS+ EU for PSVita in December even

This is an good way of getting people to buy a Vita. This is some tremendous value coming from being a Plus member and for those who currently or plan on owning a PS3 and Vita.

Sony is doing an excellent job at promoting PS3 owners to get a Vita, and now with Plus being attached to Vita they are giving non-PS3 owners more reason to get a Vita.

I hope that Vita sells better after this holiday season because the developers need a large user base before they even start to think about developing games for it.

Plus is a great addition to the Vita and its a step in the right direction.

would be interesting to see the numbers for AC and COD. Two massive franchises but if they don't sell then I don't really see any game reach the 1mil mark anytime soon.

Yes its a damn good selection ESPECIALLY if you own a ps3/vita combo. Im a little salty though because i get screwed for supporting Sony. I bought a vita, most every big game, and ps plus only to recieve everything i own. Either i should quit plus or quit buying games. Il prob stop buying ps3/vita games until much later. I already quit buying psn games because i always get them free after i buy them. I wish they gave us credits or a selection of different games to choose from. Put every sony game up and let us pick 2.

Still its a damn good deal and everyone with a vita should get it unless you already own the games.
