[GCom12] Sony reveals its line-up at gamescom 2012: Incoming two new ads and Call of Duty Vita

Sony will make two announcements at gamescom in Cologne next month. The company revealed the news that the invitations sent to newspapers, along with the line-up of titles in his booth on the show floor, available in lime.
The gamescom will be held August 15 to 19: Sony's press conference will be held on the 14th at 19:00.

It's funny how I couldn't care less about MW3, Black Ops II or any recent Call of Duty on consoles as of late, but a portable version of the franchise has me all giddy inside. haha

I can see EA probably holding back on the Vita right now (maybe due to it's current install base), just to see how COD fares on the Vita, before they jump onto the portable powerhouse. To be fair, it makes sense from a financial standpoint. If Call of Duty can't break the ice here in the US, what can?

Yeah as much as I dislike Modern Warfare and the Black Ops franchises, I would get Declassified on the Vita without a doubt, mostly because of curiosity and excitement.

I hate doing all caps, but god... damn the wonderbook segment of their conference is going to make me chuck my monitor against the wall... I was, and many of you were in agony at e3. As long as they mention it, and maybe a 5 minute demo, or a video.PLEASE DON'T MAKE IT THE LONGEST PART OF THE SHOW... it killed your conference there... why repeat the same mistake?

Dude chill out, I agree that the whole Wonderbook thing killed the E3 presentation. However it is a business and Wonderbook has huge potential for the childrens' market. You gotta admit as a little kid, which no offense doesn't seem like it was that long ago for you, it must be really cool to experience a book in such a new way. And let's face it if you're a Sony fan which I am and it looks like you are too, you wanna see Sony do good financially.

I'm not a CoD fan at all. The last one I played a lot was MW (I played MW2 but only prestiged 1 cause it got really old fast). The main reason I stopped playing them was because it seemed like every 5th game you played had a cheater with a hacked save file. I only bring that up because I don't think you can hack Vita save files without corrupting them which would keep the CoD cheaters at bay and make for a much more enjoyable online experience.
If they can prevent save file hackers/ cheaters, then I'll pick it up day one.
Now if they can just fix the noobtube BS...

No matter what system you play it on, Call of Duty will still be the same old generic shooter with hackers...

I'd rather have a portable MAG or SoCom or Battlefield than waste my money on CoD.

The COD gameplay lends better to a portable console than a home console.

The games you mentioned have long lasting games that can last for nearly an hour. that type of game isnt as good for a portable.

7-10min games on the go are more ideal.

Blasphemy! Have you played Disgea? I just got Unit 13 on sale week ago for 20 bucks, that's a steal, co-op multiplayer with my buddy is off the hook. I also just bought Crimson Gem Saga for 7$ real high quality jrpg.

How the hell did you play those games and think the Vita sucks? You most certainly are NOT a huge Sony fan. You WILL regret selling your PS Vita.

It wasn't just the games. The thing hurt my hands as well. Plus, it seemed like every game I played had me using the back touch pad for tedious tasks, or using the touch screen for things that could've easily been done with the directional pad. I just wanted a portable PS3, but instead I got a giant smart phone with analog sticks. I don't wanna use a touch screen to game, nor do I want to wave the thing around to do things.

Also, the games are really expensive for what they are. Every time I played my Vita, I had to stop within a half hour because I would either be very bored, the controls sucked, or my hands would start hurting by the poorly placed buttons and analog sticks.

Hopefully Declassified is incorporated with Call of Duty Elite and the multiplayer and zombie (if they have it) is just as good as its console counterparts.

I hope the maps and gameplay are similar to Treyarchs usual style. They make them the most balanced and overall fun in my opinion.

My Vita has been on idle for a couple of weeks, then last night I downloaded Monster Hunter, mind you I have never played Monster Hunter in my life! It's just that I have heard so many gamers talk about how this game would be a boon for kickstarting good sells for the vita if a new one was made for the vita.

I also downloaded Final Fantasy (Dissidia) and Killzone Liberation, a fan of the console version of these two series. I say this to emphasise that although I have had my Vita idling away, with the release of COD Vita I'm ready to shift into overdrive.
