12 Most Anticipated Games For The Rest Of 2012

Now that we’re officially into the second half of 2012, we though it was time to update our most anticipated games of the year. Since the majority of titles featured in our 12 Most Anticipated Games of 2012 have either been released or delayed into 2013, only a couple of games from the original list remain, so get ready for a lot of new titles.

I'm looking forward to everything on the list plus Ragnarok Odyssey, New Little King's Story and the Wii U in general. Next year I'll be wanting Bioshock Infinite, God of War and Gears of War. I'm trying to spend less on games, but as long as there's awesome game to buy I'll just have to keep spending.

I want a next gen Monster Hunter for the vita with fluid monster movements like what we've seen on Dragon's Dogma. Little King's Story will be fun.

If you're trying to spend less money on games, try playing League of Legends. I recently got hooked and i've barely touched my PS3 or bought any cheap games on steam.

I got Halo 4...and i cant wait, people will argue, Halo isnt that big and wont be that good, and i didnt use to think so...then i saw the E3 demo, and i converted...noe im a Halo die hard LOL.

Yup. Halo 4 is definitely going to be the highlight of 2012.

Four player co op story, Spartan ops, amazing multiplayer plus all new forge mode.....plus new amazing story we finally meet the forerunners!! Ah can't wait!!!!

No UFO Enemy Unknown (my most expected for this year), Torchlight 2, Darksiders 2, Hitman: Absolution, Sleeping Dogs nor Far Cry 3. List fails hard.

2 - 10: then comes the rest in no particular order: Darksiders 2, Hitman: Absolution, Sleeping Dogs, Far Cry 3, Halo 4, Dishonored, Assassin’s Creed 3, Borderlands 2, Deadlight.

LOL... you are right. Yes it's XCOM. There are a lot of UFO and XCOM games and played quite a few of them... it's easy to get the names confused :)
The first XCOM was released as UFO: Enemy Unknown (later released under the title X-COM: UFO Defense in the United States and Japan, and also as X-Com: Enemy Unknown for the Sony PlayStation).

The latest is XCOM: Enemy Unknown by Firaxis Games.

Dishonored is definitely the game I'm most excited for, especially now that BioShock Infinite has been put back until next year.

I'd also say Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs and Borderlands 2 are right at the top of my most-wanted list.

Nope just that. I have a huge backlog of JRPGs I havent even opened yet. Was thinking about getting RE6 as well, but I know if I do Capcom will more than likely cut out half the content in the package and sell it back to me for extra...so I'll hold off for the complete edition on that as well.

Finishing up Dark Souls, then Wither 2, then Max Payne 3. Add to that games like Spelunky, Limbo, Disgaea 3, Xenoblade and Last Story.. We're so spoiled.

Toward the release of a new console, I always find myself with a backlog. It's a time I usually skip new games out, and this year seems to be the year to do it.
I'll just focus of games for my Vita and keep Dishonored on my radar.

For me, I'm looking forward to Borderlands 2 the most. I thought the first game was a tremendous achievement, especially on consoles. I've heard that the game has sold many copies, and I'm glad it did, because it deserves all the credit it gets!

Darkness 2 was also a very excellent game. I think everyone was surprised as to how good that game turned out.

halo 4 is not even in my top 20 most anticipated games. what did they show at E3 that was so impressive? there was not a SINGLE thing in that gameplay that was innovative or top teir for the FPS genre.

Farcry 3, Borderlands 2, and bioshock infinite destroy it in graphics, gunplay, level design, gameplay depth, and immersion.

with halo, its all about name recognition and not actual content presented. the same goes for black ops 2, which looks like utter garbage in every single way.

Amen EVERY year people jump on the HALO hype train....like with reach calling it the best console graphics ever.....and it did not even come close to expectations. People always fall victim to the "in-engine" or "running on" BS the developers spew out to gain hype.

The reality is if its "in-engine" it's running the game engine on a PC. which would explain why the gameplay for halo 4 so far has look nowhere near as pretty as the cutscene of master chief watching a space cruiser fall. PLENTY of games look better and push more polygons, but people get sooo worked up the don't see that. Like my friend is a die hard COD fan and he thinks black ops has the best graphics of this generation!!!! The same would apply for a diehard fan of ANY game they see what they want to see. I do however want to say that HALO 4 has some backing to the hype it is producing, while black ops 2 has nothing to back up the utter trash that activision is about to release.

farcry 3 alone looks better than halo 4 in every single way. it has infinitely superior graphics, superior gunplay, a cover system, larger level design, a first person brutal melee system (the best we have ever seen), and an in depth leveling system.

if you think halo 4 looks better than farcry 3, you are just deluded. plain and simple. Farcry 3 is better in every way.
