How Watch Dogs Wisely Separates Itself From GTA 5

Watch Dogs excels when it distances itself from the undeniable imprint that Grand Theft Auto has left on open-world video games.

Yui_Suzumiya3701d ago

Never cared for any GTA. Watch Dogs looks stellar though.

SneakyDoo3701d ago

Oh, everyone's a rebel when the "don't care" for GTA- the more popular, successful, and polished game. We've got a badass over here.

Yui_Suzumiya3701d ago (Edited 3701d ago )

I've been trying them since the PS2 days and they always bored me. Plus I never cared for many open world games. I love RDR though. Completely obsessed with Fallout 3. Maybe it's just the setting and premise that bores me. I may try GTA V just for Trevor though.

Agent20093701d ago

I can understand that. Not every human being on this planet is meant to love GTA. Personally, I'm more into RDR than GTA series. It's just a matter of setting, premise, atmosphere.

And I'm too more interested in Watch_Dogs than in GTA. Just my taste though.

Yui_Suzumiya3701d ago

I'm also dying for Agent to finally get made!

stavrami3701d ago

don't bother i liked early gta games and while they are good games if u aint into them as much as everyone else u won't change your mind, i got about half way through then traded it in ,its got a good story and characters but same missions and stuff as every other gta game ,although watchdogs will have some issues as a 1st release i think it looks better than gta already

A LIVING LEGEND3701d ago (Edited 3701d ago )

It doesn't take alot to surpass GTA.
Bieber sold millions, perhaps billions;polished turds that is
unrelated yet somehow similar

showtimefolks3701d ago (Edited 3701d ago )

oh please stop hating GTA 5 is an excellent game. easily 9/10

watch dogs if half as good as GTA5 will be good enough. you guys are forgetting the fact majority of the times with a new IP from UBI, the first game is always more of a tech demo for what the real potential is in future

GTA5 is the biggest IP in gaming, and if it release the same day as WD on ps4/xbox one it will kill watch dogs

i hope rockstar do release it on the same day so some of you realize impact of GTA game

chazjamie

the first demo they showed on high end PC to now the new footage it looks just like GTA4.

stavrami3701d ago

yes yes we get it gta is well tough it can out sell other games and we should bow down to the superiority of dropping of drugs and racing through hoops the same as every gta game ,yawn move on nothing to see here folks

chazjamie3701d ago (Edited 3701d ago )

It separates itself from gtav by looking exactly like gta 4.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing692d ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

Profchaos2d ago

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Demetrius2d ago

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy852d ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

Demetrius2d ago

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
