Nintendo released some screenshots of GBA Virtual Console titles on Wii U.

Aria (and hopefully Dawn from DS) would kill. I have the originals for my DS and have them emulated on my living room TV, I would also buy them again for the Wii U. 2D Metroidvania is godly. They need to ditch that terrible LoS crap and make a FULL ON 2D, HD Aria or Dawn sequel.

This can only be good. If the Wii U ever needed a plan b, personally - and as a LONG standing Nintendo fan - I sadly think it may...well this is it! Only Nintendo's rich back catalogue and heritage can muster this type of frenzy when drip feeding us the "classics".

For once I agree with you; Nintendo really should get hopping on those games for the Wii U's VC. Some N64 games are already on the Wii's VC, but I think most people are over the Wii by now; it's time to let the Wii U's E-shop shine...

I have 10 GBA games on my 3DS XL, including Metroid Fusion and many others, that were transferred from my old 3DS as a part of the ambassador program and am stunned that Nintendo has yet to release these games to the public. I would much rather play GBA titles on my 3DS than on my Wii U. I swear sometimes I think that Nintendo has the wrong idea when it comes to what, where and why they release certain games on systems. GBA games should come out on the 3DS along with GB Color and even Virtual Boy titles and, GCN should come out on the Wii U along with N64 and any other console games.

It's all about making a profit. Nintendo has sold about 6 million Wii U'S so think outside the box if they sell a million of each game at about $4.00-$5.00 each that's a lot of money. The DS games with all of these 8 bit games coming out will translate well to the Wii U.

Eshop got games like Earthbound Super Mario World Mega Man 1-6 and much more they nothing terrible about these games

I never said there weren't good games games. I said that the VC sucks.

Which really isn't a point you can argue, comparing the WiiU VC to the Wii VC. The only thing the WiiU VC has over Wii is Earthbound, and Earthbound doesn't quite make up for the lack of classic SNES and N64 games.

I don't understand why Nintendo has not released another 2D Metroid till then? Ok Retro was working on 3D Metroid's but Ninyendo developer could working on a 2D Metroid for DS on same time for example.
