Is PS4′s audience ready for free-to-play indie titles? Early bird developers say yes

Free-to-play games have walked a difficult line on PC and mobile devices. On the one hand, they’re a positive extension of the demo concept of yore – a chance for players to try out a new title without having to stump up cash for something which may, ultimately, disappoint. On the other, some publishers have come under fire for artificially padding their games with XP grinding, with progression technically possible through play alone, but games tacitly encouraging players to speed their advancement through micro-transactions.

yes please bring more, the possiblity of finding something good or my taste rises with every new game added, i wish they would release like 20 games every tuesday

Just don't mess it up. Free to play can be great when done right (for instance you don't feel like you have to buy stuff to proceed in/play the game but that odd item looks cool so I might get that)

One thing I can say is that with F2P if it's good people support it and the game prospers. If it's a scam the community pretty much craps all over it and tell everyone to avoid it. Regardless having the choice is nice and it will be part of the future.
