Gotta say that for me this year went fast. I feel like this just came out.

its about to be a year since release?

Ripsta7th3874d ago

Wow i remember reading articles about PSABR like it was a few month ago . Every year is getting shorter .

THamm3874d ago

Sorry this game didn't do it for me. I wanted a more Tekken flavor, as Tekken 2 blew up the PSX and these characters would have fit perfectly into an over the top crazy 3D fighter.

jujubee883874d ago (Edited 3874d ago )

Everyone wanted this game to be something it turned out not to be. That's the mark of people's expecatations getting overboard IMO.

Personally I've had a tonne of fun with this game to this day

Big_B0SS3873d ago

Have to agree, I was pumped when I heard that Sony was working on a fighter but when I saw that it was inspired by Smash Bros my hype level went to zero...I really wanted a Street Fighter, Mortal kombat, Tekken type fighter with great graphics from Sony.

Give us the guy for legend of dragoon and fix those lvl 3 they are so unbalanced

TechMech23874d ago

I'm not a playstation fan much, but this was a pretty decent fighting game. Not smash bros. good, but good in its own way.

Exceed3874d ago

Hmm, focusing on ”character strengths, weaknesses, and functionality for adjustment considerations.” No specifics yet I guess.

Still, I had a great time with this game. This was one of those games where I could invite a huge group of friends and we would all just go mental. I remember completely dominating one match as Drake and then laughing like a mad man when bringing out the gatling gun.

Good times... Good times...

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.

CrimsonWing69536d ago

Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?

It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.

PapaBop536d ago

I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.

spoonard536d ago

I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.

Magatsuhi536d ago

Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

Father__Merrin536d ago

Yes the power kills spoilt it completely WTH was they thinking you should have hp bar that's it

God of War: Ragnarok Weirdly Makes PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Canon

God of War: Ragnarok has plenty of fun references to PlayStation history, but now fans have discovered a conversation that calls back to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale — the crossover fighting game released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Nyxus544d ago

I wouldn't say canon. More like an easter egg.

Deathdeliverer543d ago

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
