Microsoft's Xbox Live Rewards program returns

Stevivor -- "Microsoft sent Xbox Live Rewards program members an email this morning advising that the popular loyalty system is back up and running.

"'We've rethought what it means to be rewarded. We've listened to your feedback and added new rewards into the mix. And now we couldn't be more excited to share it with you – our most dedicated Xbox fans,' said Microsoft, who'd put the program on hiatus while removing Microsoft Points as a means of currency from their systems."

should it not be tied to live automatically?

I hope we get more money this time around. Ive racked up 400MS points but it took like a year and a half. This coming from someone who regularly purchases dlc and stuff.

This new imagining of the Reward system is fantastic. I was a bit peaved that the phased it out, just before my birthday month when I could've cashed in. But this reward scheme is miles better.

-playing new games
-renewing
-map packs
-surveys
-and more

In reality, a lot of it is just a cash back scheme for XBL purchases but depending on how much credits are worth, even if 1000 credits is 50p, this is great news.
