Top Ten Most Wanted Wii U Games (2013 Edition)

SuperPhillip Central writes, "If you have owned a Wii U since launch, then you're probably used to the waiting game. Most Wii U owners have been more than patient enough for a downpour of new software rather than the trickles we've received over the past nine months. Finally the drought is over with the release of Pikmin 3, and finally the release schedule has beefed up. There are a lot of exciting Wii U games coming forth this fall, this holiday season and next year. This list provides our readers with the titles that we want most that are coming to Nintendo's eighth generation system."

All of those are certainly worth waiting for but one i am getting impatient is 90's arcade racer. I need my old school sega style arcade racing fix dag-nab-it.

After playing Pikmin 3, I know that these can save the Wii U.

Looking good right now for the Wii U in terms of incoming software. I was very impressed with the Wonderful 101 demo. I purchased Pikmin 3, but haven't played it yet. Work work work.

Looking Ahead: The Lingering Questions About the Next Mario Kart

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "10 years. It’s been almost 10 years since the last mainline release in the Mario Kart series. Mario Kart 8 came out for the Wii U in 2014 and became the best-selling game for the system by a sizeable margin, and later pulled the same magic trick on the Nintendo Switch under the stage name Deluxe. All in all, it's sold nearly 70 million copies over the last decade and is still selling like hot cakes to this day, so it’s no wonder Nintendo has been in no rush to replace it. However, with rumors of a new system being just around the corner, and reports a few years back that a new Mario Kart is indeed under way, it seems the era of 8 might very well be drawing to a close. It’s an exciting prospect to be sure, but after two Nintendo systems with Mario Kart 8 at their heart, a lot of questions remain about how Nintendo will choose to follow it up."

I hope they just keep building on Mario Kart 8; Add a track-creation tool, and probably open it up to more Nintendo IPs with new tracks and characters, so Metroid, Punch Out, Starfox, Animal Crossing, etc etc.

there wont be a new one until the switch 2 comes out.

nintendo needs their bangers early on

Will There Ever Be A New Rayman Game?

Ubisoft barely have a leg to stand on lately, so do they need to crack open the vaults and return platforming royalty to glory for some goodwill?

We need Rayman 4, they could make a great platformer game if they wanted. With the open hub levels and the like.

Better than relying on Rabbids and Assassins Creed all the time

Profchaos57d ago

Yeah agree id love a Rayman 2 style 3d platform game over another 2d platformer I know people loved legends but it never gelled with me same as Rayman 1 back in the day on PS it just felt like a average platformer with sonic and Mario offering something better on what was then last gen hardware

Terry_B57d ago

Yes..but I am sure it won't be the Rayman game fans want. Not from the company that is Ubisoft today.

mastershredder57d ago (Edited 57d ago )

Ancel is retired from games. His hoodlum/rabbid team are doing their own thing. It would not be the same if Ubisoft did.

Profchaos57d ago

Probably far more profitable to make low effort Rabbids games aimed at kids over a next Rayman

Chocoburger57d ago

Experience points, skill trees to fill up, level gating, endless menial tasks and side quests, constantly scrounging for resources. Always having to upgrade your gear. A.KA. "The Ubisoft effect".

No thanks, don't ruin Rayman's legacy.

Profchaos57d ago

Sure there will be it'll launch right alongside the next splinter cell

Sonic Game Writers Had ‘Very Little Say’ On Story Scripts

The writing duo behind Sonic games like Sonic Colors and Sonic Lost World reveal they have little creative control over their game scripts.

-Foxtrot100d ago

They need to start letting people take inspiration from the comics, there's a ton of great stuff to take inspiration from.

phoenixwing98d ago

My beef is why even hire writers if you're just going to control the whole process. I'd be very upset as a writer if someone did that. A job is a job though.

DarXyde98d ago

Performative for optics, I would think.

It's like the US Congress holding a vote to "denounce the evils of socialism." It literally did absolutely nothing about anything and was a complete waste of everyone's time (and tax dollars—which is its own irony, by the way)

Dumbest thing in the world, but if you hire writers, it looks like you made a serious effort to make something great.

Do you remember when the original Suicide Squad movie was coming out? How much did we hear about Killer Croc's actor watching cannibal videos to get into character? Or even the "incredible lengths" Jared Leto went through to personify Joker on and off set?

It looks better when people think you're taking it seriously.

XiNatsuDragnel99d ago

Pretty much confirmed that SEGA controls everything about sonic no derivations fr

Profchaos98d ago

Nothing new sonic forces was meant to be far darker then sega got cold feet and they did the same old power of friendship ending
