DayZ dev would like to see a digital distribution model from Microsoft

“Where is the digital distribution model? That’s what I want to see,” he said. “It hasn’t been in any of the presentations. If we’re taking how XBLA works now and translating it again, that’s ridiculous. It’s ridiculous. The most awesome place to put your indie titles is on XBLA. It’s just begging for indie titles. It just doesn’t make any sense to me. I want someone to explain to me why it’s like that.”

Yeah me too. I know micro is worried about bugs but thats one thing I agree with sony on just let indies self publish....after mandatory quality control certification of course.

And yet they publish State of Decay on XBLA which is pretty damn buggy.

Double standards methinks :P

Microsoft won't have self publishing because they can't control it and that scares the crap out of them.

MS reminds me of an OCD person. If something isn't quite in the right place for them they have a hissy fit so they try to control everything around them.

This is why they hate the PC gaming market as it's complete anarchy to a company with OCD :P

Since its low voltage and the console has plenty of vents its also possible for them to upclock the processor to 2ghz due to more head room

Exactly the minute people see how small the PS4 is compared to the XBOX One they automatically assume that the console will run into a ton of heat problems. But what they fail to admit is that out of the two firms Microsoft has a history of releasing consoles with extremely faulty hardware and most of those problems are caused by an extremely inefficient cooling system which was the case with the first XBOX 360.

I wouldnt worry about the PS4 at all but the XBOX One on the other hand could have overheating issues.

Edit: If you think about it if Sony couldnt come up with a good cooling solution they would never have made the PS4 so small in the first place and thats with an internal power supply unlike the massive XBOX One with its power brick.

He simply wants to be able to self-publish... that's reasonable. I imagine that if Microsoft really went hard into digital distribution on PC and Xbox they'd have UE on their butts about it.
