AOTF: According to a Wii modding website, Nintendo’s Wii U has been hacked. While we won’t promote the site directly, a company is claiming to sell a new product called the “Wiikey U”. This Wii Key U is said to be the “first and only optical drive emulator that allows you to play all your Wii U games from any USB media.”
The Nintendo Switch is potentially nearing its lifespan, and several Wii U games haven't found their way over as ports yet.
I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.
The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.
This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.
Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.
Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
A new list goes over eight of the the most useless amiibo, ranging from the Shadow Mewtwo card to the Qbby figure.
Lets hope nothing like this is true.
The only good thing that can come from this is no region lock and that's where it ends. Homebrew isnt good cause it always leads to piracy. The people who make homebrew might have the best intentions, but there is always some lil bleep who uses it to get pirated games to work on the console.
I hope Nintendo cracks down on this like they did with the R4 cards. Send in Ganondorf and some ninja lawyers to take care of this issue.
Lets see if this turns into a cat and mouse game like with the ps3.
Onced its hacked it will always be hacked. You can take down a hacker but 5 more will pop out of the wood work. I dont condone in modding/hacking or anything like this but PC/Nintendo/Playstation/Xbox will NEVER be able to stop these people.
I believe that nintendo does NOT have a backup plan at all like stated. I feel they are just stating this because they are concerned for there product. I do believe that they have good people behind the company who could give hackers a small challenge but in the end they will fail at stopping them
Odds are it's a fake, some company trying to pass a USB drive off as a WiiU unlocker to make a quick buck.
Even if it is true, won't a firmware update kill it?
bu-bu-but hacking doesn't lead to piracy...
