Kotaku - Much as we'd all like to think this is true at face value, it isn't. It's a proto-meme, bubbling under the surface of the Internet for a few years. It popped up again this weekend. If you receive this message, you're being double-victimized.

BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.
Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."
Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.
Days gone! By the end of the game I couldn't drop it down! I went around so many hours killing zombies! It was addictive by the end.

How is this news? Why was this passed as "news"?
*sigh* Ok, are Kraptaku paying some of N4Gs bills or something? How many times do they have to be downvoted before we're through with this crap? Why do they have 3 stars? They should have none and either be completely banned from the site or have their articles put through the "Strict" filter so we don't have to see this kind of garbage on the site.
And honestly people, stop approving Kotaku articles. It's bad enough that merely seeing their name is enough to drop the global IQ by a point, but having it on the site is enough to make us all completely brain dead.
Kraptaku voted down. For all the good it'll do.
**EDIT** I reported this crap as Lame because it is. And honestly it's not a reflection on -Mezzo- for submitting it, that's what members do here, it's a reflection on us as a site letting Lame articles like this come through. If Kraptaku being voted down isn't going to work, then bust out the Lame reports so we don't have to deal with this crap any more.
I don't know what's worse. Lying about your mom making you apologize, or actually having your mom force you to apologize.
And then 'actually' apologizing.
