IGN - On February 20th, the PlayStation-related festivities at IGN will reach their maximum level. Come find out what you can expect at IGN on that day.

They want that ad revenue...simple really.

Thatguy-3104519d ago

Lmao at the articles avatar. All this hype surrounding the ps4 have brought forward a lot of hilarious gifs and pictures lol

Gratisfaction4519d ago

Not saying that this'll happen, but wouldn't be funny if they go up there and say absolutely NOTHING about the PS4. "We are proud to announce.......THE PS3-SUPER-ULTRA SLIMMER VERSION!!!"

Hahaha.
That would suck...

miyamoto4519d ago

its has a great virtual theater there. Makes you feel you are watching with lots of people.

February 20th 2013 6PM EST (11PM GMT) convert the time to where ever you are in the world can't be bothered to do it for you.

ApolloTheBoss4519d ago

You know was gonna watch this on IGN but they seem to be getting a little too hungry for hits so go to the main site.

Thatguy-3104519d ago

Ign isn't looking for hits. The guys on the videos are as excited as any sony fan. Would understand if it was kotaku who finds any way to trash the PS3 or anything sony related to gain hits.

-Mika-4519d ago

I wish I could of watched it on G4. When E3 comes around. I honestly don't know what Im going to do.

MaideninBlack4519d ago

Really wish Sony would consider televising this. A lot of streams for the PS Meeting are going to crash under the traffic and I don't want to miss a thing.

2pacalypsenow4519d ago

can we watch this from the Ps website?

ginganinja4519d ago

I'd be more surprised if you couldn't.
& i'm fairly certain i read a comment somewhere on the EU blog indicating it would be showing it.

That controller looks like a cheap knockoff... it should have been a proper DS5 design.

darthv721d 11h ago

...the VR aspect in 7 IS the redeeming quality.

Abriael1d 10h ago (Edited 1d 10h ago )

what a dumb take.

Ace Combat 7 is one of the best games of the past generation. It doesn't need VR gimmicks to "redeem" it.

TheColbertinator1d 2h ago

I have enjoyed nearly every single Ace Combat to death (except that helicopter shooting one) and have never needed VR once to enjoy it greatly

PapaBop17h ago

^^^ I'm guessing you've never actually tried it in VR then? VR elevates games like this way beyond just a gimmick, just ask any GT fan who owns a PSVR 2. You may not need VR to have a good time but it's an absolute game changer and something that shouldn't be dismissed as a gimmick.

S2Killinit17h ago(Edited 17h ago)

@Abriael
Spoken like someone who never played it. But who are we kidding. We know why VR hate. No one is fooled here.

Abriael16h ago(Edited 16h ago)

@PapaBop: I tried it in VR before any of you ever did, since the game wasn't even out yet. It's a gimmick, disjointed from the AC7's main gameplay and far removed from its best parts.

It's nothing more than a limiting factor, as Ace Combat's most complex missions require hardware power to be focused on other things. That's why the VR missions are very basic.

If you think Ace Combat's strengths are even close to the platform it's on, VR or non-VR, you obviously aren't an Ace Combat fan.

In any case, I suggest you folks prepare yourself for disappointment. There's a reason why the VR gimmick was never expanded, and it's that, besides a few fanatics who care for evangelizing their VR fad more than they care for the franchise, no one gave a flying F.

The developers are going to use the resources to make the whole game better for everyone instead.

VR was the best thing that happened to Ace Combat. You kidding?

yeastori15h ago

VR is perfect for this type of game wdym

Abriael14h ago

It's a perfect way to limit this type of game.

CrimsonWing691d 11h ago

Look, I’m a simple man. I see Ace Combat and say, “Yes!”

Abnor_Mal1d 10h ago (Edited 1d 10h ago )

Can we get a new Ace Combat, with full vr and not just three or four levels, for PS5 and PSVR2
Also if we could get a remake of my all time favorite, Ace Combat5: The Unsung War, again with full vr for every mission with DualSense and flight stick haptics.

yeastori15h ago

I just want them to remaster AC4 and AC5, a new AC with better more realistic looking world and planes would be great too
