except on the forums and i dont see anyone talking about the next consoles, and to be honest i honestly think the xbox is the console with the most consumer loyalty out of the 2...i come to this conclusion as a single player gamer preference who sees absolutely no reason for people to own a 360 bar the witcher 2 and alan wake and a few online modes in games like forza and halo 3

You don't need an Xbox to play The Witcher 2 and Alan Wake. I also don't see the brand loyalty for Xbox that you speak of. MS has lost hardcore gamers by the millions and millions because of their obsession with casuals.

Americans will still buy their Wii U's, 720's, PS4's, build their own PC's, buy premade PC's, ipad's, cellphones, etc, etc.

300+ million Americans means lots of different tastes.

Doesn't mean much. Most people tracking this news are not MSFT fans and they will believe the best rumors for Playstation and only except the worst xbox rumors.

I predict many articles trying to spin the desrtuctoid rumors that actually match the leaked 720 docs that are mostly ignored by anti MSFT forum goers.

You can tell the agenda because it takes bits and pieces of each rumor showing PS4 in the best light and using only the parts of the 720 rumors that show the things fanboys are attacking ignoring(not mentioning) the stuff that is actually got the haters mad/worried/in spin mode.

The destructiod article was voted fake/false by hundreds of N4G members not because they wanted the "supposed" bad things not to be true but because they couldn't handle the the insider saying the 720 was extreamly powerful showing the specs in the article.

Considering Sony had pretty much the same rumors about the lack of backwards compatibility and lack of the ability to play used games, I see it as a wait and see type of deal.

We wont know exactly what these things can do until they announce them. Seems like the pro Sony crowds believe the negative Xbox rumors and the pro Microsoft crowd believes the negative Sony rumors. At the end of the day I accept facts and facts alone.

Actually xbox fans don't believe only the negative PS4 rumors. They are hopeful most of the 720 rumors are true and could carless about negative PS4 rumors.

Remember when the leaked 720 docs came out their where already PS4 rumors floating around that showed it to be weaker than the 720 and there were also PS4 used game blocking rumors before the 720 ones. Most gamers ignored those negative PS4 rumors Sony and MSFT fans alike.

Xbox media and pro MSFT media(or one sided media/developer members with bais) are not making articles about negative PS4 rumors with hundreds and xbox fanboys tracking and trolling them in a paniced frenzy.

I have no interest in the Wii U and while most of my interest is in the PS4 I'll most likley get a 720 at some stage too (or whatever either are called).

I just hope they both scrap that ridiculous Move and Kinect rubbish.

The rumors mean nothing. Even it Kinect needs to be attached it's not a big deal because it will be included. No used games, big deal. I've never seen a developer or console maker worry about how well their games do in the second hand market. And gamers are going for hype. No popular game is more than $5 more new. And the less popular games drop in price quick. For those reasons, the used market is for people with no patience and that don't look around.

Kinect will be for more than casual games next generation. All of the casual talk is just lemmings doing what lemmings do. If it is for casual games only, they really didn't need to improve it.

And when it comes to the power of the systems, articles mention that Microsoft does a lot of custom work, but assume the 720's power will remain in line with the specs of the unmodified parts. That totally makes sense. Kaz saying he wanted to wait for the 720 announcement was most likely about hoping MS would release some info. MS didn't. It might be because they are confident in what they are doing.

People need to just wait.

Also, when it comes to mandatory installs. If that leads to no load screens, I'm all for it.
