Nintendo Insider writes:
EA have today announced release dates for Criterion Games’ award-winning Need for Speed Most Wanted on Wii U.
Beyond the game’s original content, Wii U owners can look forward to bonus features available through use of the console’s GamePad.
After nearly three decades of NFS games, here's a list of the best Need For Speed titles that have ever been released in the past years, ranked by The Nerd Stash.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted debuted in 2005, with the Xbox 360 version being the first then next-generation title in the franchise.
This game was awesome! I remember reloading my save if I didn’t get the pink slip from my blacklist rival
Paul writes - "EA know a good thing when they see it, and for multiple years November was Need for Speed month. In a break from the usual routine, I'm going to be looking back at two games here, released in 2005 and 2010 respectively. The earlier game is Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which has the distinction of being one of the very best in the franchise. The second game comes from 2010, and is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit; which I'll talk about just as the Remastered version of the game has hit the stores."
I completely adore this game! In fact its probably my favorite racing game. I recently dusted off my xbox 360 to play Most Wanted 2005. Still a great game, though I do not remember there being such horrible performance. Like massive frame-pacing issues. screen tearing, latency. If any game ever truly needed to be remastered, it this one for sure!
Very cool, added features! Nice to see another yet another company putting the gamepad to use in a great way.
Really interesting features. Co-driver looks like a innovative idea, IMO. And those cars are a great plus.
Even though EA have been a bit ignorant regarding the content on certain wiiu games , Mass effect 3 runs the same as it does on 360 at least with some nice features and Fifa runs the same as it does on 360 with some obvious graphical improvements , albeit with a few features missing in Fifa and some not as good ones added in.
I trust EA will do a good enough job porting NFSMW over and i will be buying. The reason I didn't buy it was because I was saving for my wiiu and i was slightly pissed that EA weren't putting NFS on wiiu, but they changed that.
It should of been a launch title.
Congrats EA... this will be the first of a few games they release for the WiiU that makes sense to purchase. The other (Madden for example) clearly were water down versions of what were also release on Xbox360/PS3. The added features and exclusive content makes this a must buy and the best version to get.
That's a fantastic way to utilise the gamepad, I hope this is the beginning of devs really starting to use their imaginations where it's concerned. No one can say the Wii U version isn't worth buying over the other versions.
